I usually don't leave much reviews but this product has solved all the problems the other options out there didn't... it just worked. Plug it in and you instantly have an extended IR repeater that responds immediately. Worked awesome for my Emotiva receiver.

Often times you need to find an IR repeater so that you AV set up works as intended. For me, after moving everything into a dedicated closet, some devices depend upon IR to control them. There are a lot of solutions out there and this one, a "no frills" hard wired works seamlessly. Of course, you have to spend time and run a separate ethernet line dedicated for the device itself but in the long run, there is no delays, no wireless transmission hiccups and the response is as if the AV device is in the same room. This was perfect for my setup and am glad I stumbled upon it during my hunt for an IR repeater.

I have been trying to extend an IR signal 50 feet to control an HDMI switch for months. I have tried two different RF based IR repeaters. They only worked about 1 out of 10 attempts to control the switch. This approach works 100% of the time. The only down side is that you need an CAT 5 cable between the transmitter and the device you want to control.

I had to purchase these because my new HDMI splitter didn't have built in IR blasting. I purchased these to get back my remote on/off features I had to turn off all my church displays remotely and at the same time. They do exactly what I needed them to do!
