Material attracts too much dust and lint. It looks sharp but it’s is none adjustable. Measured my daughter’s head based size on manufacturers website and even called them to make sure I ordered the right size. I did but it didn’t fit my daughter well. Unless you’ve bought this brand and model before, I recommend having a riding helmet fitted in a shop (such as a horse riding shop) as various brands lay differently for different heads and facial shapes. I found that some brands when used properly will cover my daughter’s eyes. Some are too round or too much bulk on top of her head. So it’s really best to go to a shop and try various brands and sizes to see what works best.

Good helmet for the price. This helmet is lighter weight than previous similar models from IRH and has better ventilation. The shape is much more comfortable than any of the IRH helmets I've purchased in the past if your head is a bit more oval than circle (which mine is). It's also much smaller than any other helmet that I've owned from IRH, so I'm not sure what the people who are saying this gave them a mushroom head are talking about. So I disagree on that point, I think it looks small and fairly sleek in comparison to a lot of helmets I've owned. So far the only draw back is that the velvet is very short and less soft and has a tendency to accumulate fuzz more quickly than other helmets I've owned making it look more grey than black. The strap is not leather, but a synthetic, so far it is holding up well but I've only had the helmet a few weeks.

I just started to ride dressage to help with my hunt seat so I didnt feel the need to have my hair in a hair net. I really like this helmet and for the price you can't go wrong!

Shopping from afar has its complications.... in this case I relied on the photos.... for some reason I saw it had more venting and air-flow. If you look at the picture it shows side venting and a central vent line in plastic.... but its different to the one sent. The cap seems sturdy, but not as modern as I had anticipated. My wife is happy, but not exactly what I had envisioned. In this case I would have preferred buying in an actual shop.... fortunately I got the head size perfect.... an error on my part there would have been tragic!!
