The filter will reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at 2 parts per million (ppm) by at least 90% in up to 6,000 gallons at a flow rate of 1 gallon per minute (gpm). this cartridge is made of bonded powdered activated carbon (Pac) filter media wrapped in a polyolefin pre-filter with polyethylene outer netting. The cartridge has an initial pressure drop of 3.4 pounds per square inch (psi) at a flow rate of 1 gallon per minute (gpm), and operates over a temperature range of 40 to 180 degrees F (4.4 to 82.2 degrees c). this carbon block filter cartridge meets national Sanitation foundation/American national standards institute (nsf/ansi) standard 42 for quality assurance, and is used for purification of residential and commercial drinking water.

A causa del peggioramento della qualità dell'acqua potabile che arriva nella mia casa, ho deciso di acquistare un filtro per migliorarne almeno odore e sapore.Dopo alcune ricerche, ho optato per questo articolo che si presta ad una installazione veloce e pratica direttamente applicando un adattatore con deviatore su un rubinetto e permette di filtrare soltanto l'acqua che ti serve.La qualità dei materiali mi sembra buona e lo stesso posso dire della qualità dell'acqua una volta filtrata.Confrontandola con quella non filtrata la differenza è davvero notevole, almeno all'esame olfattivo e gustativo.Una nota di merito va all'azienda che commercializza il prodotto e alla sua assistenza post vendita.A causa di un problema con l'adattatore/deviatore da avvitare al rubinetto, li ho contattati tramite l'apposita sezione su Amazon e ho comunicato con Francis.Francis mi ha risposto in maniera molto cordiale e professionale, ha compreso immediatamente il problema e ha organizzato l'invio del ricambio in tempi record.Per questo lo ringrazio pubblicamente, insieme all'azienda. Un vero esempio di servizio clienti efficiente.

Çeşme suyunun bütün tadını düzeltiyor. Klor kokusu tadı kalmıyor. Ama biraz tat kalıyor ağır metal gibi sanirim mineral demir hepsini tuttuğu icin yogun olup suyun tadini yogunlastiriyor. Akvaryum için de kullanıyorum. Tavsiye edilir.

This is an excellent filter system. I've had others over the years but this one is the best. Pure water! I mean tasteless. So refreshing. If you can taste water then the filter is not good. This system is great! I highly recommend it. Easy to install, with in 15 to 20 mins. Max. Follow directions carefully! Happy camper!

A good low cost countertop filtration system that provides good tasting tap water. The system is relatively easy to assemble, but the directions need work. For one, make the print larger so a magnifying glass is not required to read the instructions. Secondly, provide accurate information for the installation of the filter. I read two different filter installation procedures, the one provided with the system and another from the company's website and both were different. The Installation Manual procedure instructs you to "*PLACE THE FILTER WITH THE BLACK CARBON SIDE POINTING DOWN. However, there is no black carbon side. The Users Manual procedures instruct you to "PLACE THE GAC FILTER WITH THE ARROW POINTING UP" and there is no arrow on the filter. I also purchased a replacement filter and I didn't see a black carbon side or arrows on that filter. Since that filter can only be installed one of two ways, my personal opinion is that it doesn't matter how it is installed.

Must preface this to add that I have been using various countertop filters for more than ten years and I know how they work.That said, this unit arrived adequately packaged but something seemed off to me and at first I thought it was a return/refurb and maybe missing some components. I contacted customer support and they were wonderful and sent me another unit. In the meantime, I had installed the first one using a part from an older other brand and it did seem to be going okay but they already had another unit on the way! Just want to say that Don and Brian are very much into the customer service aspect and quite responsive.I do enjoy the transparent casing, this is the first time I have had a clear one (actually it is blue). It does not go with my kitchen decor but I figure I can always crochet a cozy for it if I don't want guests to be offended by the color clash or seeing (when it does) get icky from catching stuff. For now, it is nice to see the water going through it. Also, this is significantly more substantial than other brands I have owned. It is a good sturdy weight and not easily knocked over or flimsy.To people with leaking problems, a) DO NOT use the wrench to tighten the filter on install. Just like your truck car filter, it will squish the gasket out of place and have the opposite effect. The wrench is for taking it off. b) leaking at the faucet - be sure you cleaned the threads in your faucet spout and have the correct washer in there. I have never had a faucet adapter leak in ten years. c) if you have housing leaks it is the big o-ring on the canister. This is why I got turned off of this type for awhile- they are fine until you change the filter but have the same big o-ring on the housing. They always lieak by two or three cartridge changes. Use a vendor that has replacement o-rings available. You can thank me later.

Nice to finally find a product with a reasonably priced replacement filter. Some of these systems, you end up paying as much for the filter as you did for the entire kit, if you can even find a replacement in Canada. Water tastes and looks clean, no trouble at all. Installation was simple. One tip is to use a small zip-tie to keep the hose from flailing around when the faucet is moved if you have double sinks. Used about 6 months so far. The dispensing spout is usefully adjustable to all kinds of angles.Update: Four months after the last filter change, it developed some mold and mildew above the filter, whole thing went in the garbage unfortunately.
