I have been using these diamond cutting wheels to cut many different materials like, metal, plastic and ceramic and it has done a good job of providing a clean fast cut. However they do grind down eventually like all cutting discs but slower that others because of the imbedded diamonds. It is important to wear proper eye protection when using these discs as they can come apart while using and cause significant eye damage.

I used these in a dremel to cut off two small screws. It took way longer than it should if these had been well made diamond grit blades. I don't care for them

I received this product in exchange for my honest review as part of the Amazon Vine Program. Seller Brand: JINGLING lists these as "JINGLING 30mm Diamond Cutting Wheels Coated Rotary Blade Cut-off Disc Pack of 10Pcs". I use a Fored*m rotary tool to do rock work and find these useful for slitting a tiny nugget of turquoise or another small but precious rock. Loss to a big thick diamond saw blade kerf really eats up a tiny piece of rock! These are ideal. Picture 1 shows the package I received. Picture 2 shows a slitter mounted on a mandrel. All diamond grit bits including these slitter discs MUST be used with water to lubricate the bit and cool it. This is to carry the grindings away and reduce wear on the tool. I find that using non-hardening Plumber's Putty to build a dam around the surface being ground works well if you cannot direct a steady stream of water onto the cut or cut underwater in a shallow plastic container. NEXT you MUST know that this will "grind" slowly the glass or rock and does not "cut" like a toothed blade or burr will in wood or metal. The diamond grit is plated in a thin layer to the outside on this tool; much more costly versions use a thicker sintered diamond layer. Excess pressure will strip off the plated diamond and damage or render useless your diamond bit - slow and intermittent light pressure allows water to contact the surface and carry off debris being ground. Remember hand and eye protection as glass and stone chips can seriously injure you if they are flung at high speed off the diamond disc.I Recommend these JINGLING 30mm Diamond Cutting Wheels. They are a good value and perform as they should.

Main use for this is to be able to detach nails from granite counters that I was trying to preserve to reuse. I needed something strong and sharp to make sure nails will not be protruding from underneath so it has to be cut carefully. Use of this wheels made it easier but took longer to cut. I was hoping that it will make the work go faster but it did not. However, it cut cleanly and nicely as I expect it to. Because it was the diamond wheel, I thought it will not get dull right away but unfortunately it did. It grounded down faster than I expected it to last. The good thing is that there are 10 of them.
