Love that the shavings are trapped until dumped. What a bargain!

For function, by which I mean a good point on the lead and containing the shavings, this is a solid 4-star product. They're big enough to handle easily, small enough to make barely a dent in your kit. However, you can't replace the blades, which means that when they eventually get dull, you'll have to throw the entire thing into the pile of plastic waste that's decimating our planet.I'm on the fence: four stars for function, or two stars for Yet More Trash? I settled on three stars as a compromise.

Ok if you’re not going to sharpen any leads harder than HB!

This is the best version of a 2mm lead sharpener ive tried so far, with the exception being the Staedtler "blue barrel" sharpener, which unfortunately doesn't work with anything besides their standard clutch lead holder. I have a few different brands of pencil and this works great so far with all of them since you don't need to worry about the pen and only need an inch or so of lead. Hopefully it will stay sharp and continue to perform. You get 2 sharpener in the package, both of which have 2 holes and blades to sharpen with, so if one gets dull you have backup. Ive tried the uni sharpener as well as an expensive full brass piece, both of which didn't work at all and got dull almost instantly. Great value for money, worth ordering a few to last you a while.

Really like these sharpeners. Bought to keep in the garage to keep my marking sticks in good shape. Reminds me of the sharpeners I used in drafting class years ago. They really make a sharp point to the leads. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective....) I have to sharpen those leads all the time, as I do have a very heavy hand with marking. They are easy to empty, and very handy. Their only drawback, if you want to call it one, is that they are quite small in size...so easy to get "lost" on a messy bench. That's why a two-pack is a total plus here!!

I prefer the portability and affordability of these over the Staedtler rotary sharpeners.

Best buy. I bought two sets. Pencils end up with a very sharp tip. All other sharpeners are much more expensive.

Over the years I have used many mechanical pencils in my work. I have had the Steadtler sharpener (good for desk work, but bulky in your pocket). In high school (almost 40 years ago), we used sandpaper blocks (very messy, the fine graphite particles got everywhere). I’ve used the little sharpener that now comes with most pencil kits (works good but, again the graphite particles get all over and it gets lost easily because it is so small). The JUNE GOLD 2.0mm sharpener combines all the above 3 sharpener, but has 2 features that the above doesn’t have…#1: The right size to hold, easy to use and most of all not too big or small to carry with you (hard to lose in your pocket).#2: This is the most important thing about the JUNE GOLD 2mm sharpener… “those fine shaving, don’t dirty your fingers and it doesn’t get lost in your pocket!!
