Spruce is known for clarity and is consistent, balanced, and has great response, while Ebony provides a strong bass presence and responsive highs for a well-rounded sound profile. This ukulele has a broad dynamic range that works well for both strumming and fingerpicking. The baritone model comes with a rounded, smooth Venetian cutaway and Fishman Kula preamp.

Excellent ukulele at a very affordable price point. The more I play it the more I love it. The fact that it's beautifully appointed is just another plus. I'm very happy with this instrument! It's pictured with the Kala hard case, a must have for this beautiful instrument.Update: It's been two months I've fallen completely in love with this instrument. I did have it set up by a professional luthier and it really made a world of difference. Strings lowered just a tad, and the pickup position adjusted to even out the sound.

I’m in my sixties and due to limitations with my fingers, I cannot play the guitar any longer. However I tried to play someone else’s baritone uke and could more easily play so I purchased this uke. So easy to play cords because they are the same as a guitar just without the top two strings. Beautiful rich tone and connects nicely to my baby travel amp.

Great sound, electronics could be a bit better, tuner is not very precise.

Sounds good acoustic and electric. Feels good. Love everything about this Baritone Uke. I wish I had begun with baritone rather than soprano or tenor because baritone ukulele chords use matching shapes as compared to guitar. Soprano and tenor ukulele’s use the same shapes, but they mean something different. A G chord on a baritone ukulele is very similar to a G chord on a guitar. A G chord on a soprano ukulele is very similar to a D chord on a guitar. It is possible to buy cheater strings, whereby one can string a baritone, using the same pitches as they would, for a soprano or tenor.

The baritone is tuned the same as the first 4 strings of a guitar. It's sound is deeper and more mellow than the smaller ukes.

I love the looks. The wood binding and the finish are really beautiful, as is the wood. The cutaway, which truthfully is only marginally useful, is really good looking though, for those who appreciate that kind of thing. The sound is slightly muffled? Maybe due to smaller top surface area because of the cutaway? However, I do believe the sound is getting better the more I play it. Not sure how that works but I believe it's true. I have a Makala to compare it to, the Makala is brighter sounding. If I had it to do over again, I might choose something else at this price. But it's super easy on the eyes. I think different strings might allow for a brighter tone - we'll see.
