I love my new KLIM CD Player, but let's dig a little deeper into why ...The build quality is great, it feels sturdy when you hold it. I got the wood-finish and like how it looks. The printed mini comic it came with made me giggle. The in-ear phones that come with are much better than I expected, and is a great addition. I mainly use wired studio headphones and get great sound, the volume can really pump. I also used the bluetooth mode with my Yamaha soundbar and got great results. The dual 3.5mm outputs is a nice touch too.Battery capacity is descent at around 6 CD's worth of play-time. The key lock is handy when on the move and the player is stashed in your satchel. I take it with me when I go walking, it doesn't skip audio either. The buttons and display light up when pressed, which is a necessity for low-light environments. The CD player can also record whatever you are listening as mp3 to flash card, that was an unexpectedly nice discovery.Cons: there is not much I can complain about, honestly. These are at most minor annoyances or nice-to-haves.- When a 3.5mm audio cable is connected, the player doesn't sit comfortably inside its carry case, the wire gets in the way. The case still closes fine. I am only aware of not putting undue stress on the audio connector in this position. Placing the CD player upside-down in its case avoids this problem, awkwardly. A small port-hole in the case for audio would have been clever.- I wish the CD player supported CD-Text so that track names are displayed (for CDs that have this information written). Of course playing MP3's from the flash card shows the file names - but let's be honest, I did not get a CD player for MP3's :)- The CD player has no belt clip, however its carry case has a loop to thread a belt through, albeit a tight fit for wider belts. I still prefer to carry in my bag. I might attach a lanyard to the case instead.Summary: a fun CD player that performs well and makes me happy!

Easy to synch up, easy to use. With a couple hundred cds, I’m not going to spend time ripping them so I can use my phone to play them. This works great and the wood look is cool.

In an ocean of cheaply made, cheaply presented consumer electronics, it is a breath of fresh air to see a company making an attempt to provide a quality experience. The KLIM Nomad may be slightly more expensive than the alternatives but the player itself is well-built, feels solid, and provides features that go beyond the basics. The packed-in case and earbuds are of good quality... especially for things that are provided for "free". The brown felt CD case was NOT included. I bought that separately and is well paired with the player's case. The Nomad's LCD display is a full dot-matrix display (not the segmented LCDs found on other players). This means that it can display the full filenames of mp3 files. It plays regular audio CDs just fine. But it also supports MP3CDs (data CDs containing .mp3 files). In the photo are 3 MP3CDs that I've burned for use with the Nomad. These discs hold 700MB max, or 80 minutes of audio... but when burned as data CDs with .mp3 files, I can fit between 6 and 8 hours of music. These MP3CDs are also good for burning audiobooks in .mp3 format. The Nomad includes a microSD card slot for mp3 files. Super handy! If someone is looking for a newly manufactured portable CD player, I highly recommend the Nomad... especially in woodgrain! Because for us old cavemen, electronics should have woodgrain.

The biggest issue is that the volume Isn’t very loud at all on headphones, Bluetooth or wired unless you are using a speaker with its own volumes control, it isn’t going to be that enjoyable. In addition, if the CD is an “enhanced” CD, it will load but will not play.UPDATE:I got a return on this and the item received was just as bad from a different direction . This time the Bluetooth wouldn’t remember and reconnect to the same headphones/speaker. Have to go through the repairing process every single time and now it won’t connect at all.I remember paying at least $120 buck in my youth for a good quality discman. This thing is a waist of time and it’s messed up my day several times. It’s not worth even returning it to just to get a partial refund. Two of these have entered my dumpster. The only thing thats good is the zipper case that comes with it but they aren’t much use without a CD player. Very depressing.

I love the wooden design—it looks really cool on my desk. The battery life is descent; it easily lasts two or more workdays without needing a charge. The Bluetooth and microphone jack make it super convenient to connect to speakers or headphones anywhere. Plus, it’s great that it works smartly to save battery by reading ahead on CDs. A sleek and efficient player!

After 40+years of use, it was time to retire my old Sony Discman (the lid is held on with duct tape, but it still works!). I really love the wooden look of this CD player! Sort of like retro as it never really was. It plays perfectly, no skipping at all. The equalizer settings were OK, but I prefer a flat playback for most music. The supplied headphones are fine; I especially liked the magnetic earpieces and the good quality wiring. I like the way the buttons light up and the way they feel. The rubberized feet make the unit feel stable when on a table. No complaints at all here.My problem is with the FM tuner. It's painfully tedious to use. VERY slow tuner, which has a tendency to skip over stations I'm trying to scan in. Several times I've just given up and use another device instead. I'm quite disappointed in the FM section!Given the generally abysmal state of personal music devices, this one does stand out, and I like it a lot as a CD player.

This product is put together by people who really took care about the details. The packaging was just awesome and like a personal communication. What a great idea to put magnets on the outside of the earbuds so they can't get tangled up as well as the Velcro mini strap to hold a coil of excess wire if you don't need all 3+ feet of cord all the time. It took a little while to figure out how to tune the radio to my country music station because the directions didn't say enough about it, but when I finally figured out that you actually use the mode button to move forward station by station to find those in between gems I was all set. The sound is great and the equalizer buttons are a joy. The only thing that disappointed me a little is that when I am listening to a lecture or I just want to hear that last word I missed in a song, I can't rewind with enough control. It rewinds so broadly and so fast I waste a lot of time trying to just listen to that last part. AND if I try too many times the rewind button stops working at all for a while. Maybe because this thing is so digital. I thought about returning it because that's what I use a CD player for most of the time, but Nah everything else is so perfect for listening to music and I love those headphone thingys and you just feel all these people that made this thing just for you, to enjoy Music. Anybody who has a huge CD library they don't want to stop enjoying is going to LOVE this CD player.
