Plain and Simple Specifications

These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.
- American Wire Gauge
Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifier's life.
True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Speaker Wire is often written as 14-2 or 14/2. This means 14 gauge x 2 conductor, both positive and negative signal are carried within one cable and are each 14 gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). Most speaker wire ranges from 10 to 16 gauge. 18 to 22 gauge is often much too thin for most Home Theater applications.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 14 Gauge
Oxygen Free Copper - The standard in audio
- Quality cables use quality materials. Oxygen Free Copper is copper of at least 4n purity. That means the conductor must be at least 99.99% copper.
- Copper speaker wire provides lower resistance than similar sized CCA cable. This means improved frequency response.
- The ultra fine OFC strands in the Kord speaker wire allow for more current to flow as AC voltage travels on the conductors edges.

Solid oxygen free copper conductor. Not that janky CCA stuff. Easy to strip insulation, and the bare copper is easy to work with for termination. Finished cables look far more expensive than they are, but most importantly they perform incredibly.The only nitpick is that it can be difficult to see the black marking indicating the negative wire, but that's kind of a positive. You can find which is negative when you need to, without it jumping out at you when you don't.

The wiring feels very soft and pliable, and I do appreciate the blue colour -- it's very handsome, easy to find (in the back of my equipment...), and a touch unusual.The strands are abundant, and I found the ends very easy to tin.

These wires are the real deal. I am not going to lie the plastic insulation feels weird as the material is soft. But very pliable for corners etc. I measured it when it came i bought a 50ft roll and I received 51feet 6 inches. It definitely improved the sound of my speakers.

It is copper wire in a soft sleeve. The soft sleeve required several attempts with the wire stripper to remove it.

The price is a bit expensive. But the sound is crystal clear. Good quality gauge 14 copper cable. I am not the first buyer and will continue buying. Looking forward to the future discount.

I was looking for quality speaker cable for my turntable system. I was digging through what was for sale for 100% copper wire, a lot were that coated copper stuff. I found one and looked through the reviews and a reviewer said get KnuKonceptz for legit oxygen free copper. I looked up the cable and it was only few dollars more I think I paid $23 for knukonceptz cable. Once I got the cable, I was really impressed with the quality. The jacket is very easy to cut and strip. Very flexible and easy to manipulate. There is a black stripe on the text side but it’s dark and blends with the dark blue. If I need more in a different gauge I’m definitely buying more of this brand. The price and quality is above the cables that are supposedly 100% copper at the same price point and probably better than the cables that are 3x the price.

The jacket on this is so soft, rubbery, and extremely flexible. My wire strippers just slid on the jacket without touching it. The wire inside is strong enough that a light cut with scissors easily cut the jacket without damaging any of the wire. The wire lays perfectly flat. It's so limp it'll go where you want it with no "memory" of its former shape. As for the stripe identifying each wire, there is none. However, the very fine white printing is only on one wire. That makes it easy enough to identify. Overall the quality is great inside and out. How does it sound? Honestly, if there's an improvement, it's very subtle. My system already sounded fantastic. This just adds a nice touch of quality to the whole thing. It looks as good as it sounds!

If your in the market for speaker wire this is the wire for you. I have now purchased both the 14 AWG and the 12 AWG and can't say enough good things about this manufacturer. Just pure quality all the way. This wire is durable and very flexible and is extremely easy to use. I will not every buy another manufacturer for my speaker wire ever again. Just one thing to mention is remember this is not in wall rated wire, this Is for outside your walls and should not be used for all house wiring. You will need CL2 or better type wiring for that type of application.
