The self coiling feature is more trouble than it is worth - always tangling itself around the bike frame or what you are trying to lock to. With all the twists and coils, a 6 ft cable nets about 4 usable feet. A straight cable is far easier to use and can be quickly coiled by hand. Plus you have to line up the numbers exactly on the combination lock or the unlocking latch doesn't work. I suspect it will be even harder to use in the cold of winter. I don't recommend this product. It is not a user-friendly design. Doesn't anybody test these products before sending them to market?

IDK if it was Amazon screwing up at the warehouse but the first one would not unlock the chain. It looked like it was opened before and used. Amazon graciously took it back.The 2nd one I got was new - and works as advertised. The lock comes with a mount so clipping the chain to the bike is easy with the included mount.

Easy to leave this wrapped around my handlebars so I always have it.I use this IN ADDITION to a proper D-lock.

A good lock , if my bicycle was very expensive, I would think about spending a bit more money and buying a better kryptonite lock , but for what I need it for I am not disappointed, precious comments complain about the lack of the advertised clip that mounts the lock to the frame of your bicycle, this is true , there is no such thing with this lock , but to be fair ....why would you need one ? It coils around tubing, and locks it's self to you bike , a missing cable-tie type thing is neither here nor there , I am pleased with mine ,

Loving how versatile it is. At 6', it can easily wrap all two wheels, frame and a stud to attach bike to. Definitely giving me peace of mind when leaving bike chained away. Highly recommend.
