Quality of the actual brace seems okay the bearing not so good and it does not fit my 5th gen ram has stated in the ad the holes are a quarter inch out on one side trucks never been in any accidents or anything as well as their instructions say a 1 and 3/4 socket it's a 1 and 13/16 so you have to run around and buy sockets and everything else it's just not great

I installed this on a 2011 Ram 3500. At first I was impressed. Heavy steel, decent welds. I read the instructions which say to use a 33mm socket to remove the pitman arm nut and to use a 1 3/4” socket to install theirs. Clearly I would need a deep socket for the long pitman arm they provided. I did a test fit and my 1 3/4” socket would not fit. The nut is a 1 13/16” or 46mm. Try finding that locally. I went to two auto parts stores and Tractor Supply and had to settle for a large crescent wrench and a cheater pipe. I reused the factory lock washer. After loosely installing the brace between the set bar and frame, the instructions say to use the supplied 1/2” bolts to attach the bearing block to the brace. I had at least a 3/8” gap because of the excessive taper on the pitman arm nut. I removed everything, took the nut off, and ditched the lock washer against my better judgement. Now the gap was around 1/4”. That’s pi$$ poor engineering. The instructions say to stack washers between the brace and bearing block if there’s a gap. I needed 3 or 4 washers stacked. So much for strength. To make matters worse, when you put a 7/16” bolt in a 1/2” hole, you need washers under the nut and bolt head. With that many washers, now the bolts are too short. With three washers stacked between the parts, the bolt was too short the nylon part of the lock nut to catch a thread. So now I have to make another trip to town to buy longer bolts and better spacers. This could have been avoided by altering the taper on the Pittman arm nut. I don’t even know or care how well the thing will work. If you’re going to go to the trouble to install this, do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a reputable brand. I wouldn’t recommend this one. I’m sure it fits some models, but don’t market it as fitting them all of you have to resort to stacking washers to make it work.

After getting product, I had to get a specific sockets to fit my 2014 ram pitman nut. I spent money to get that on top of the product and what a waste. I'm angry but 98% of its my fault from ordering a part like this on Amazon. Literally had just finished install, was a bit difficult by myself, 2 people would have been easier. Regardless had just finished went to grab my keys, and I hear a loud crack!!! I didn't even drive it yet and it cracked 30sec after install. Don't be like me, buy Rough Country or BD. Will be returning and getting money back.
