This year we set a bouy out in the lake tied to a block with a long rope so we had a place to tie off so that we would not drift off (while rafting / floating) from our cottage. We started out with an orange juice plasitc bottle with a yellow dollar general bag inside. Hey that worked! But, was so trashy lol. So I replaced it with this handsome bouy.

This one uses a needle valve similar to one on a basketball. It's easy to inflate but I have some doubt if it will sustain the air pressure for long. Normally this kind of buoy uses a screw valve, which is more reliable, but is a hustle to inflate.Note: because it uses a needle valve you cannot fill it with water (to make an aqua bag), if this is what you are after.

I inflated this new buoy, went out on river, tossed in water, and when pulled back in boat 1 hr later, it was deflating. Next day it was wrinkled, further deflated. I need to return this. Can't expect a purchase when rainy weather, to expire before first usage!

Worked great for using with mooring screws to hold my 16’ boat. Should last for years.

I'm using this as a dock buoy so I can aim my kayak in the correct direction when paddling in from the middle of the lake. So far it's great, but I will update my review if there are any problems.

Considering that this isn't necessarily made for being an aqua bag for punching it wasn't easy to fill with water. (The air hole at the bottom isn't made for that). But once I found a way it was totally worth it. It never leaked once and it can take a beating. Holding up well.
