Once you discover LaBella strings, it's difficult to change. I use two different LaBella strings on my more expensive basses. On my Stingray Special 5 String Fretless I use their white nylon wrapped, which are a steel roundwound covered, so you get the brightness of a round with the safety of a nylon wrap to preserve the board.On my fretted basses, 4, 5, and 6 string I use these strings because they produce the best clarity and sustain of any string I have ever used, and I have been playing for over 50 years. These, by the way, are the same strings people like F Bass use on their fretless basses.

Cordes avec un son très particulier grâce leur configuration particulière (l’âme de la corde repose directement sur le chevalet - "exposed cores").

Was very pleased with delivery time & especially pleased with a price drop from after I ordered them. However, less pleased with the quality of this particular set of strings. I’m a working bass player & Super Steps have been my choice of strings for the last several years but this set is already close to dead.

Used to be my favorite strings for their clarity and sustain, but they seem much harsher now. Too metallic sounding and not punchy like they used to be. Not sure if they changed the material or the process, but I've stopped buying.

The strings sound wonderful! Although, the B-string does buzz a bit, even when I have done some adjustments. Overall, awesome strings!

These are very nice tapered bass strings. I ordered them for my 5-string Ibanez and they fit and sound great. I previously ordered a set of DR tapered strings, but the B string was actually too long and ended up breaking on me. Very disappointing. That wasn't the case with the LaBellas, I'm very happy with the product.

These strings,while very similar to the Hardrocking Steel series,by Labella,offer a bit more low end response and high end "zing",with the mids compressed a little.The bridge saddles of your bass will need to be hightened to accomodate for the exposed cores,and the intonation positions won't need to be be adjusted back as far.That's a major plus,especially when intonating the lower strings,(especially the E and B).Once you're set up,these strings can be highly addictive,the exposed core imparting a very true and almost "dry" sound (in a good way).The low B is very piano sounding,the balance from string to string(G-B)is excellent.All in all resulting in a string that provides excellent tone,good balance,and if wiped after each use,reasonably good life.And recording really shows off their sound in its most uncompromising and highest quality.
