I purchased these stability arms for my aluminum ladder so I could install gutter guards on my house. The back of the house is very high and scary to be on a ladder. I am talking about 14-15 feet up in the air. At this height you do not want the ladder to slip and take a fall at the top. These arms attach easily, are lightweight, and very functional. When you expend the ladder with these on the ladder and place them on the roof, you are very secure on the ladder at the top. No pressure on the gutter, easy to install the gutter guards. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. This is a no-brainer, much less expensive than a trip to the hospital. If you are working off a ladder get these right no. Do not delay, your life depends on ladder stability.A new application I just had great luck with is using this Stabilizer to paint a high ceiling living room. I just acquired a duplex with one unit with a 17 foot sloping cathedral ceiling. One side is 8 foot and rises to 17 feet. I rented a large 12 foot stepladder and found that very hard to maneuver around the room and I still was very unstable getting to the top to cut in the corners and wall ceiling edges. Now comes the great part. I brought in my extension ladder with the stabilizers and raised the ladder and placed the stabilizers against the wall. Carefully I extended the ladder to the top of the wall close to the ceiling and it worked great. No damage to the wall. I was safe and secure when I climbed and easily painted the corners and cut the edges. It was much easier to move it around the room and I completed the job in short order without any problems. I love this product.

I have been wanting to replace some fascia board and trim around the outside of my house. Part of it is essentially indoor crown molding that was placed on the outside of the house for some reason but the new roof was put on with these in mind so I am constantly having to deal with wood rot. It got to the point where I needed a ladder bracket to protect the roof and so I could actually not work so far above my head.I bought these in part because of the price and in part because the ease of installation seemed easier than the other ones on the market. There are no screws, brackets, etc, to install, just slip the ladder stabilizer into the ladder. There is sufficient tension that it definitely feels safe and the brackets slide into the ladder a lot, about a foot, so you don't feel like they would pop out at all.I installed them in under 60 seconds, threw the ladder up against the highest part of my house, about 25 feet, and in the corner of the roof, and the ladder sat perfectly on the roof. Just far enough off from the trim work I needed and definitely stabilized the ladder and made me feel comfortable being up that high. It was easy to tear off the trim work. I should have bought these years ago, as it would have made keeping up with house maintenance much easier.I have no complaints with them. If you need to work on gutters, windows, trim work, painting, etc, and need to rest the ladder up against a wall or the roof, these are the way to go.Bob

I am so impressed with these stand offs!I had some gutter guards to put up on all my gutters. I knew I needed some type of standoff. I started off purchasing the traditional “U” shaped stand up with a quick connect bracket. While it worked standing me away from my house, and over my windows, I still couldn’t get to some corner gutters and the attachment made the ladder really top heavy when I had it extended. I almost lost control while moving the ladder more than once. I knew I needed a different option. Then I saw these, I admit I was skeptical. They didn’t look very robust and I’m a 250+ pound man, but I thought I’d give them a try due to their good reviews.Upon receiving them, I easily inserted them into my 24 foot Werner extension ladder through the holes on the side and tried it out. The first thing I noticed was they didn’t seem to add any noticeable weight to the ladder. It no longer felt top heavy, but would it be sturdy? The answer was yes! Amazingly so! I popped it up, propping it off the roof and was able to move at a much faster pace. They worked great! I felt totally safe climbing up and down the ladder, fully supported. It felt like it gave the base of the ladder more support as well. Being padded, they didn’t appear to put any strain or damage on the shingles. When I was done, I easily removed them from the holes in the sides of the ladder. The pads on the supports showed no damage from the use. They are also smaller than the other support, much easier to store afterwards. To summarize, I am totally sold on these supports and highly recommend them. They are easy to use, light, and appear to be a really safe addition to the ladder and I’m really glad I found them. I’d give them 5 out of 5 stars!
