Moss mimics the natural environment in reptile habitats, it is soft and has a loose structure that provides a comfortable hiding place for reptiles. Moss absorbs airborne pollutants and releases oxygen, which is beneficial to reptile health.
Easy To Use and Maintain
Step1: Soak Dried Moss
Remove the dried moss and soak it in warm water for about 10-15 minutes, squeezing out the excess water and making sure it is moist but not dripping.
Step2: Spread the Bedding
Spread moist moss evenly over the bottom. The thickness of the bedding can be kept at about 2-3 cm to ensure that it can absorb moisture effectively.
Step3: Increase Humidity
For reptiles with high humidity requirement, a sprayer can be used to add water regularly to ensure the environment is at the right level of humidity.
Step4: Inspection & Cleaning
Regularly check the bedding for dirt and clean off the contaminated parts promptly.It is recommended to change the entire bedding every 1-2 weeks.

The Egigo sphagnum moss is tightly compacted in an 8.5-inch by 8.5-inch sheet. It is a healthy shade of moss green, and it has a pleasant, subtle, earthy smell. The unit price is high as compared to that of the competitor brands, which is the reason I deducted one star from my overall rating.If you enjoy container planting and/or if you keep reptiles, amphibians, insects, snails, and/or small rodents, you will want to add moist sphagnum moss to their environment. Hamsters naturally live in dry environments, so do NOT offer moist sphagnum moss to them, as their health may be harmed. Before offering the moss to rodents, be aware that it may contain tiny insects and their eggs, and the bugs need to be eliminated. To do this, simply place the moss in your freezer where it should remain overnight. Afterward, allow the moss to thaw and thoroughly dry. My Roborovksi hamster, Peanut, loves the Egigo brand moss, and she consistently uses it in her bedding.In contrast to the needs of hamsters and similar critters, pets such as snails, insects, amphibians and lizards, will want their moss to be served moist. Among this group of crawlies, I am qualified to comment on land snails. They will appreciate the beneficial insects within the moss whose job it is to keep the snail's substrate clean. I suggest using the moss as a topper to give your snail an easily accessible place under which to hide and a soft cushion on which to land when it inevitably falls from the glass wall of its home. The moss will also help you successfully grow moisture loving plants within the terrarium and add to its beauty.

This is a very well sealed package of natural moss. Although it would be great for a terrarium or my house plant, but I am going to use it for dioramas and sculpture. It looks like it would make nice foliage. I think I will be pleased with this material.

This moss comes vacuum packed in a thin sheet, it seems like a small amount but it expands once you open it and rehydrate it. It’s greener than a lot of what you find out there. You can use this for reptiles to add humidity in their environment or for plants as well. Even good for crafting, multiple uses and decent price point.

I use moss of differing varieties in numerous bioactive setups since I keep several species of treefrogs. Moss of any sort is staple additive to these setups to help maintain humidity as well as a substrate additive to help aerate the soil. The moss comes vacuum sealed in a nice package so it's kept as fresh as possible when you get it. It has good color and does exactly what's needed to help keep all my frogs happy and healthy!

The package comes vacuum sealed and has a ton of sphagnum in it that hydrates up really well when soaked. I got this for my isopod enclosure and I have some really picky isopods. They love this and it helps keep the humidity up in the cage.

This came in a way I've never seen before. The company actually vacuum seals it. This is actually a very good idea. It minimizes the likelihood of anything foreign getting into the moss like spiders, mites, etc. The moss itself is great quality and a small part of me wonders if this could be revived. It feels that natural. I find that with this small of a quantity is best served by just gently misting the moss while it is in your hand or in a cup until you get the level of saturation you want. Which leads to my next point. This is a very small amount of moss. If you have a larger tank, then I recommend a larger order of moss. But this is a very good quality moss for a decent price.

Love the air sealed packaging of this moss which helps aid in space. It looks great and green and pretty clean. Great price and packaging and a space saver till need to use it.
