Bought these to install on a laser cut violin project. They work just fine but will lose the tune rather quickly and Im sure its not the pegs fault but rather my design.

these pegs seem to be of good quality unfortunately they are too small for the violin for which I bought them although I took the correct size of violin

Just as the other reviews have stated, these are not ebony, but painted hardwood, and they are not pre-drilled. Not only that, I received pegs that are way too big for the instrument. I will keep them on hand as an emergency stash, and will use a vice and drill to add the holes for the string... but let's be clear: this is NOT what I thought I ordered. Buyer beware.

They're some kind of painted hardwood NOT ebony. But whatever, this is the best price you'll find some simple decently made tuning pegs. No pre-drilled hole.
