Works seamlessly with iPhone, wish it had a 4.4mm balanced jack though. Sound is very impressive and worthy of the price range.

Worked great, sound quality, very mobile, easy setup. 3rd week the usb connection appears to have worn out and no longer played audio on the left side. Changed cables everything, nothing. Using my other dongle dacs worked confirming it’s the device. Bummer

I bought this back on March 1, 2024. The left-side audio suddenly stops working back in November. I tried reconnecting the cable and different headphones but nothing worked. Disappointed that this broke within a year.

Bought the M12i about 2 weeks ago. It worked perfectly at first until it started randomly disconnecting. I thought it was a cable issue so I swapped out the cable for another of their cables, but the problem persisted. Then the DAC completely refused to turn on about 3 days ago. I reached out to the company twice, but have received no response.Edit: A service representative reached out to me and was able to address my concerns by promising to send a new unit. I’d like to thank them so much, and as a result I have edited this review to 5 stars.

Constantly heard high pitched background noise when operating.

I bought this for its size. I also have an iFi Go Link for portable, but that gets in the way of my case. The most important aspect was portability. Listening environments are noisy (walking around the city or at work), where listening is more for background. I do like this far more than the AudioQuest Cobalt, much cheaper and serves its purpose well. Two issues I have with it though- the first is, I’m fairly certain this is just under the max power draw. Battery drain is noticeable at modest power levels. The biggest issue is the poor soldering job on the 3.5mm / weak connector. I think I got two months of use out of it before I started having issues with one of the channels, having to maneuver the jack in different ways to get stereo. It took a while to get the plastic cover off - bought a hobby knife and stuck through top of usb connector to prop off. After close inspection, I noticed one of the legs wasn’t soldered securely to the board. All the legs had barely any solder on them, making them prone to breakage. After resolving to the board, I haven’t had any issues with the unit. However, this seems like a real basic QA issue… it seems like minimal to no stress testing on the connector was done.Anyone else having connectivity issues, would suggest resoldering the connector legs to the pads on the board.

I'm updating my review on this device, because initially I had issues with popping and distortion but now it's been corrected.First, the sound quality is fantastic and very impressive for a device this small. Solid build, sturdy and clearly they put a lot of focus on building a qualiry device. It seems like the unit I initially received might have been defective. Support however was prompt to respond to my issues, and ultimately shipped a replacement unit. What still stands however as a negative is how they publish their firmware - on the web page they only give you the .rom file with the latest firmware but trying to get the actual software that updates the device with the .rom file is a nightmare and I had to go through hoops to get my hands on it. They should reflect on this situation and improve - otherwise like I said, they did respond fast and ultimately corrected the problem with a brand new unit that was shipped impressively fast and I do appreciate that.

I like music. I have been playing guitar and bass for over three decades. This year I decided to learn to play drums, and start the keyboard journey.I have written, recorded, -both in studio and at my home studio-, and mastered my own music.I am not, by any means, an audiophile, so I won't talk about any of the "technical stuff".While I do appreciate my studio monitors and the tones they produce, I also enjoy listening to music on the stock car radio. I'm not a "sound quality snob"....But this little amplifier that Questyle put out might turn me into one.I notice a difference between headphone quality, and I notice a difference between high quality headphones and high quality headphones running through the M12i.Music seems "fuller" and more defined. I like this, and I have noticed a few background accents in songs I've listened to for over 40 years. Things like subtle backing vocals, or drum accents that are subtle but there. No, not like the cowbell in Don't Fear The Reaper... you don't even have to play that song to hear the cowbell...I think this headphone amp has upped my music playback expectations. That might be a good thing....
