This is a quality built muffler. Used this on 05 yukon xl 8.1L. No drone at hiway speed, good sound at idle.1mpg gain towing. Not exactly a direct replacement but close enough to make work.

Awsome quality and it quiets the sound like 70% . I had before flowmaster flowfx mufflers, they were really really loud so loud that you could hear my truck from blocks away. This thing quietted down the noise and make the exaust sound like a european car. Noise is very refined and sounds like an expensive exhaust. It is not loud at all just enough so you know you have power on your car. IF you have cold air intake then the cold air intake sound will be louder than your exhaust with this muffler on. I have a 5.7L tundra with 4-1 3" long tube headers, 3" full dual exhaust and now this muffler on. TRD 3" tail pipes. I have no restriction at all on my exhaust which makes it very loud without this muffler. Also, i noticed the truck is a lot more responsive and feels stronger than before, maybe due to the scavenging effect of having double X pipes. You can see 1 on the picture plus the another built in X pipe in the magnaflow muffler. Amazing combo for every car. This is like a double X pipe corvette style.

Quality muffler. Cats deleted on a 99 Tahoe with a 350 vortec. This muffler is quiet, but throaty when you’re on the gas. It doesn’t drone while cruising. The tone is deep. This is exactly what I wanted. I was initially worried that it would be TOO loud without the cats and this muffler, but it works fantastically. Thanks magnaflow.

Had two Flowmaster 70’s for 5 years and replaced them with this one Magnaflow muffler, sounds awesome, the tone is much deeper, with little drone in the truck no more than what I had on before.I was trying to decide between the 12469 or the 12599 with the 8.1. Went with the 12599 (which is the larger muffler) as in some cases the muffler may get a little louder over time.Regardless, you’ll get hooked when you hear it, as a big block should sound!

This muffler is amazing! It delivered on time and was in perfect shape, so was the box. I have this running on a true dual system on my 01 tundra. I have factory CATs with 2.5 inch pipe out to 3.5 inch tips to the corner of my truck bed. It sounds amazing and made my truck feel more responisve. Nice lower rumble but not loud compared to the glasspacks on there. It does have a medium growl when stepping on the gas but sounds great! This 5x11 oval is perfect for me. This muffler (12568) is for the people who want to have a nice sound who people compliment but not loud to where they can hear you coming a block down the road! The muffler seemed of good quality and is alittle bigger, but that helps quiet it down. All in all a great product. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice sounding vehicle.A couple month update! Its seems so quiet to me now! Its like I know its there, and others definetly do, but Ive adjusted to it now enough that I wouldnt mind being alittle louder haha but its still holding up great in hot and cold weather!

I ordered this is a replacement to my rusted out muffler on my 2003 Escalade 6.0. The sound on startup is great as the truck has a deeper growl to it. When cruising around the sounds is also very nice. If you let up on the gas, the sound eases up but at medium to hard acceleration it really comes to life. All in all, I do like the sound and it is lest raspy than a similar Flowmaster that I had installed on a similar truck with the same engine a while back. One big question that everyone asks is, does it drone?? The answer, yes it does. Getting between that 1900 to 2200 RPM and when getting up to speed on the highway from an on ramp going from 50-70 MPH, yes it drones. It is not terrible but noticeable if your paying attention to it. For the first week, I was paying too close attention to it and I was considering swapping it out. But after I got used to it, it seems fine to me. Don't get me wrong, it is on the upper scale of my "tolerability" but it is fine now. Keep in mind, I have two kids which one is a toddler in a car seat and she does not get bothered by it. In fact, she knocks out all the time when I drive. The wife drives the truck too and she is not bothered by the sounds either. You can carry on a normal conversation with out yelling over the sound of this muffler. I had a Flowmaster series 40 on a Yukon with the 6.0 and that was just was too loud on start up and droned all over the RPM range and I hated it. In conclusion, this Magnaflow sounds really good with a deep rumble, keeps the sounds characteristic with just a bit more rumble that you would expect for a luxury SUV, drones a bit but is controllable with letting off the throttle a touch and the muffler shop was able to weld it in place with no modifications. Note: I am running stock intake, headers and pipes with no other modifications to my exhaust except for the muffler.

Great replacement for a 2003 2500hd 6.0l gas. By far the cheapest to get dual 3" in dual 3" out. I was able to cut out the old muffler and weld this one in place without buy any other materials. Truck is used for towing daily so I was a little worried about the droning other reviews mentioned but I don't find it bad. Overall no complaints

Nice product. Well worth the price. Actually a great value. It made the truck really quite. I would prefer a little more rumble, but that's just me. I installed it on a 2001 Chevy C3500 crew cab dually with the 6.0 gas engine. I have no interior " droning " like I read in another review. The inside of the truck is so quite you can hear a pin drop !!

A couple weeks ago I decided I wanted to put true duals on my Super Duty v10 and found with 18" glass packs it sounded like there were two strait 6's under the hood and one exciting each side.. Needless to say I did not like the sound so I set out looking for a bigger muffler that would hopefully change the tone of the truck and that when I found this muffler. For the price I had to try it out. After install I was a lot happier with the tone of my truck, it is still not got a v8 rumble but it sounds a lot deeper than the glass packs did. I almost wish I had went with the next size down due to the tight fit on my truck but I am happy with it so far..The quality of this muffler is great and with the stainless steel design it should be around for years to come..
