Bought this Chinesium SD adapter for my iPod because iFlash refused to process my order over Amazon for an entire monthHave an iPod with a bad HDD so was hoping it would fix the issue, bought a 256 GB microSD card from MicroCenter since I know 256 GB is fine for 5.5th gen, instead I can't even get the iPod to go into recovery mode with the adapter installed with or without an SD card inserted, which I still can do with the dead HDD until it bugs out and also with so storage mediaSwapping it and the bad HDD back and forth to try and debug the mess seems to only have worn out the ribbon connector so now it doesn't even secure the ribbon cable, I thought I had finally gotten the iPod to boot with it installed but nope it had just popped looseI will be seeking a refund, and hoping iFlash doesn't play games with me a second time when I am forced grovel to them again for an SD adapter

Works great if you know what you are doing. The ribbons supplied with the adapter are highly recommended to use. They seem to be ever-so-slightly thicker than the original. The original slips out of the adapter, but using their supplied ribbon fits in and stays in.The SD card slots are not the slot-in type. You have to slide the metal to one side, then lift the metal, place the micro SD down, and then lower the metal and slide it again to lock it in place. The other review(s) mentioning it not fitting the SD card were making this mistake. One of the many reasons I miss amazon letting me comment to let people know they have no clue how to use a product. You'll also have to take into account what your model iPod supports. They don't all work with any storage size. The 7th gen for instance can go to 1tb+, but I find above 512gb you'll encounter issues with random corruption. Find a chart of what models support what amount of songs and what amount of storage, both do matter and it's universal for any adapter as it's a limitation of the hardware outside of the drive.

If you’re trying to cram more than 128gb into your ipod, make sure you read the compatibility chart. Can’t recommend for anyone using 6th gen or newer. Go with the iFlash.

The adapter fits quite well and allows itself to have owner selectable memory modules applied. I placed one 128 gb in one slot and it performs excellant.
