Works as designed, this is a NAS drive so its noise level is a bit more than a standard desktop mechanical HDD. With its robust cache its 12TB capacity will serve folks well storing video on a budget. Good price too.

I tested the 12 TB HDD drive thoroughly after receiving it. No issues. The drive is in excellent condition. All Good. I have this drive from this seller multiple times. All Good. Thanks.

I bought these to fill out my new QNAP NAS. Since I was setting up a RAID I was just fine using refurbished disks since they can be replaced without data loss. These come with a 5 year warranty and as such it gives me peace of mind should I need replacement. They’re working great in my NAS and have had zero issues so far. I hope the seller lasts as long as the warranty but for the price you cannot best these for cost to TB.

I bought two of these in December 2023 and they've been in continuous usage in my NAS. Buying these drives is an easy decision, because of the 5 year warranty and the incredible cost. I will definitely be buying more when it's time to expand.

I purchased 4 of these to support a new DAS. What I found impressive, is everyone that I received was an IronWolf. They have been setup in a raid 6 array and are functioning extremely well. So far I would highly recommend these. I did purchase the 3 year warranty for each drive.

I bought 3 for QNAP NAS in Nov 23, so far, so good. I was skeptical, but I plan to buy 1 more today. Just to note the noise i would say is equal to other enterprize drives, which are a bit louder. The other drives I mention are Seagate Exos Enterpize drives 16tb, I have install on another nas (Synology). So deduct one star as desc says 'little to no noise'.

I don't normally write reviews. I ordered 2 12TB MDD hard drives to install inside a Synology NAS server to backup document and photos. The were packaged well. However the 1 of the hard drives would not power. The other hard drive sounds like it's going to stop working. I returned the drive that did not power. The drives were labeled refurbished on the website. I will never purchase a refurbished hard drive again.

Bought two of these 12TB models for my Synology NAS. They were new, no marks or fingerprints inside of a static bag. The NAS identified them as new Seagate st12000nm0127 enterprise drives and smart marked them as healthy. The actual space usable is like 10.9 TB (normal due to conversion from 12TB). They are way cheaper than competitors and work just as well. I was afraid I was going to get a renewed model as some other products had said but no this drive is brand new. Once in my Synology 224+ they were recognized right away and I did have a warning about the drives not being on their compatibility list but that is just a scam to get the manufacturers to pay Synology. The drive is rather loud though. It sounds like popcorn being popped in a muffled tin. It's not extremely loud but louder than the clicking I remember mechanical drives making years ago. But then again those were a fraction of the size that these are. I'll report back if I have any issues.Edit: This edit is in response to a review that was bashing how the devices came. I bought two drives and they came in a large box, side by side with air filled plastic bubble things to fill up left over space. Then each drive comes in its own cardboard box. Inside each box the drives come in sealed (you have to tear them open like a bag of chips) anti-static bag. Then you have two plastic shock protectors on the ends of the drives. These keep the drives in place within their box and bag while allowing the drive to cushion any drops or bumps. It's the same setup that every hard drive I have ever received in my life has had. And other than there being no retail markings on the box it's completely safe. The drives were also both brand new as reported by the S.M.A.R.T. software on my Synology NAS. So unless that other review had physical box damage, while would be very noticeable, he must have just gotten a defective drive.
