Install Myard universal hidden deck fastener clips w/ included screws (hardness 12.9 + dacromet coating).

1

Insert fasteners into grooved edge of deck board.

Align screw hole in fastener with center of joist. Continue along the length of the board at every joist.

Screw only half way down. DO NOT fully tighten the screws.

2

Slide second board into place, making sure fasteners fit into groove. Install screws and universal fasteners on the other side of the second board in the same manner as Steps 1 & 2.

DO NOT fully tighten the screw.

3

Tighten screws on fasteners in FIRST row. Proceed with Steps 1 through 3 to finish the rest of deck boards.

NOTE: Hidden Fasteners MUST be used at every joist.

4

Tighten down all screws after confirming all boards are in correct place. Be sure to use a long #1 square bit (included).

DO NOT OVER tighten the screw, stop tightening when the screw head reaches the plastic part. Set a proper torque.

They slide in place and fit perfectly in HDs Duralife decking. They appear to be the exact height, so holds good once tightened down.Found using my 18v Milwaukee on 3 torque setting is working well.Who knows maybe 6 months from now I will be editing this review but they really do seem to be perfect and considerably less expensive.Being a “green robbie” head and me being a Canuck, even if each package didn’t come with a bit, I would be fine.

In theory this should work but it doesn’t because the plastic is too soft and contorts if more than very light tightening is applied which is often needed in construction projects. If the plastic was changed to a metal part I could see it working but the plastic just isn’t up to the task.

Most work good. But a lot of the screws go right through, and have to change them. Take all the rest outto change one. I have ordered about 900 of these and ill need another 500. I wasted about 100 so fare.I am thinking of getting the rest from some one else, I don't think the company cares, I sent a message over a week ago, no response .

The rounded edges make these easy to slide into the side grooves of composite decking. The square socket head (Canadian “green Robertson”) is much less likely to strip compared to SS Torx screw heads. I misread the package quantity (50 vs 100 for Trex), so I had to order a second box for the project.

They are expensive for what you get but these work good and are cheaper than ones in the home depot

I used these with Fiberon decking boards as the worked great They're flexible so quite forgiving for any uneven frame boards. Not exactly cheap for what they are but I couldn't guarantee the Trex ones worked with my boards.

Great fasteners but a variable speed impact driver is a MUST! Adjusting the clutch settings on a drill/driver as per the directions simply does not work because of variations of hardness in the wood joists. A light touch and a little practice to get the feel will produce excellent results. I wish they had a star drive instead of square so it would be easier to find a replacement.
