Note: This is an update on my original review where I was concerned about the lack of response to my email to Merach’s support team. I had requested information on speed settings and the corresponding Hz level because I wanted to use the plate to help prevent loss of bone density. Protocols for many health-related uses are given in Hz and I was unable to find the information on Merach’s website. Merach did get back to me about a week and a half later and apologized for the delay; they had to reach out to their engineering team and wait for their response. They provided details that were helpful but did not address my specific question, so the engineering team is now conducting tests so they can provide the information I need. They have been very responsive and are even following up on my suggestion to acknowledge emails that may take some additional time to answer, so customers know their question is being addressed. I appreciate greatly the effort they are putting into getting the answer to my questions. I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars as I am very happy with the plate and its performance, and their customer service has also been very helpful once we connected. The vibration plate itself is well made and feels very solid. It is easy to operate and the instruction book did a good job describing the components of the device and how to operate from the unit itself or using the remote. The remote has a flex band that is easy to put on and take off one's wrist. The change in speed is very gradual and it takes an increment of about 5 to notice a change, which I think is a good safety design. The machine responds quickly to the remote if you change speed, shut it off, etc. A safety feature is the speed always starts low and cannot be adjusted until the unit is working. Changing your foot placement on the unit also changes the intensity of the movement. They provide some basic ideas for exercise while using the plate in the instruction book. It is very versatile and can be integrated with many common exercises. There are many videos available online for workouts using vibration plates. The wide base is great, but it does take up a large footprint so look at where you want to use it and determine if you have adequate room. The plate is heavy enough that you will not want to be putting it away between uses each time. The surface is non-slip, so I feel very secure when standing or moving on the plate. The digital display is easy to see and provides information on where you are at in the time/speed/and mode. We positioned it in front of an extra chair so my husband can use it sitting for neuropathy and I can use it standing/sitting/laying on the floor. The lights cannot be seen when you are on the plate. I suppose if I used it in a low-light room, they would provide a nice glow. The stretch bands attach securely to metal loops on the base, have a comfortable handle, and provide alternative exercise options. I did not program the music option so cannot provide feedback on how good the speakers are. I enjoy using the vibration plate, it is easy to work into my schedule and use jointly with other exercises.

I have to start off by saying that this was a splurge for me, even in the context of being a Vine reviewer, since I have to pay taxes on the items I order. Also, I don't think this is something I really need, and I certainly don't buy into the hype of these types of devices being life-chaning in any way. That said, I can't take a star off for this thing being big and bulky or expensive because I knew all those things going in and still I got it. Also, I can't take a star off for it not being life-changing because enough time and use hasn't happened for me to really say. It could. Below will be my honest review after a solid month of using this thing.First of all, I really like it, hence the five stars. I like that it is 4D and has seven modes of vibration. All this means is that it moves in a lot of different ways. It also has a lot of speeds to it and vibrates really fast at the top end. You can also adjust the intensity by moving your feet closer together or farther apart. You can sit on it, plank on it, rest your heels on it and do reverse push-ups, etc. What I like most, and how I use it, is with the three programmed modes. They are all 10 minutes and cycle through modes and speeds. After my weight-training routine, I like to stand on it for one of these modes. I usually stretch while standing on it. Sometimes I use the included bands (more on those below). Sometimes I use some other device, like a macebell or yoga stick. Sometimes I switch between a few different things. In all cases, the 10 minutes goes by fast. You don't get the elliptical machine time dilation on this. At least, I don't. I feel like this is helping with my recovery. At the very least, it's getting me to stretch more after a workout, which is key for me.As for things I don't like, it basically comes down to this being big and bulky and heavy. I'm storing it in its original box for now, but it's not easy to get in and out with the accessories (power cord and bands). It's too big to stow under a couch, as they suggest. I keep it in my garage, on my weight bench. It's definitely an effort to take it out, plug it in (I need an extension cord because the cord is pretty short), use it, unplug it, put it away. I keep the bands connected to save a step, but that makes it harder to stuff back in the box.The bands. They are simply not so great. There is very little tension until you get to the top of a movement. So, if you want to do overhead presses and you're a little tall, like me, you won't be able to go very high. But if you want to bicep curls, you'll get virtually no resistance. They work pretty well for lateral raises. I haven't tried it yet, but you could maybe attach your own bands, but they would have to be very thin ones. There are other things you could do, I'm sure.I've kind of just scratched the surface using this thing. The bottom line is that I really like it and I'm glad I have it, but no way could I justify buying one outright. There are way better ways to spend your fitness dollar. Unless, of course, this is the thing that motivates you to work out, stretch, exercise, whatever, then it's gold.

This is the first vibration plate I have used. I couldn't get the slap on wrist remote to work. Would make it nice to be able to control it while you are on it. The arm pulls are not installed but easy enough to install. They are nice and stiff and maybe a little stiff for me with torn rotator cuffs. I read the inclosed booklet and being new to it just starting out. I am out of shape being winter when I got it and never had good balance so doing the exercises involving squats while vibrating was challenging. Once I got off after a couple of minutes I was still vibrating in my body and felt a bit off balance. It does seem to be a nice well built item if I could figure out the wrist band. Comes with everything you need to get started on your wellness journey, including lights and the ability to change the intensity. Made in China.
