BUYER BEWARE: This sending unit will only work when installed on the Left Side of your outboard. This is not clearly stated anywhere in the product description. This vendor charges a 20% restocking fee for returned items. If you read through the reviews for this product and vendor, many have purchased defective products or products they were dissatisfied with and could not avoid a restocking fee even if a replacement product was not available.

I'm installing a trim gauge on a 1993 115 Mercury. This part is for port side mounting and I needed a starboard side mount. Refund and return was easy. Package received was well marked PORT. But this doesn’t show in the pics or description. Research showed the black insert is port mounting and the white insert is starboard mounting. Picture shows starboard mount with the white insert.Hope this helps.
