The legs are short. My dog has an injury a couple of inches above the paw. She refuses to wear a cone. This suit doesn't cover the area. Also, the material is loose and my dog can pull the sleeve up and still lick the area. I ordered a different one that works much better.

I was very pleased with this recovery shirt. It’s light weight, sleeves are long (can be rolled up), and the zipper makes it easy to get on your dog! I almost got a large because of the measurements, but I’m glad I went with the medium as it fits perfectly for my Shih Tzu. Love the color too!

my dog is 15 lbs with short legs, I bought a Medium and had to send it back the Small. The small fit her perfectly. she has been chewing on her leg, and has a hot spot she will not leave alone. This long sleeve suit worked great. I do wish the ends of the sleeves were a little tighter. I used some safety pins on the ends of the sleeves to keep it from riding up. She likes the suit, it's light and comfortable for her to wear. she has had it on for about 1 month now, her wounds have healed and the hair is finally growing back. I washed the suit and put it right back on her. Good product could not give it a 5 star since the ends of the sleeves are a little large. They need to be more snug, but it is serving its purpose.

I need a shirt with full-length sleeves to cover stitches from a lump removed on one leg and biopsy on the other of my dog's front legs, both about halfway between dewclaw and elbow on the back of her legs. She hates cold weather and already likes wearing a coat when it's cooler out, so it's working out much better than a cone! I ordered this shirt in XL from the sizing chart for my dog, who is a 60lb pittie mix with a ~26" chest (per her harness), 18-19" neck (where her collar sits closer to her shoulders), a 22-23" back, and has slightly short legs for her size.It fits PERFECTLY, with just a little stretch so it would fit a slightly larger dog as well. The legs stretch out a bit when she's squirming around getting comfortable on the couch so I folded the cuff up and they're just right for her. The folded end sits nicely between her carpal pad and paw. They would be long enough to fit a taller dog who's more "square" in size. The shirt stays on in her kennel overnight, even keeps the folded-up cuffs in place, but she got one paw stuck an inch or so inside the leg the first night. (Still didn't come off, though, which is the critical part!) The only other shirt I've found that fits her has buttons that came loose the previous night and let her lick her stitches. It's a very slick, soft material, almost the texture of swimsuit fabric but a bit thicker. It's not stiff like some of the ones made with neoprene sleeves; doesn't restrict movement at all. It's really stretchy so go slow when you're putting it on or the dog's nails can get stuck, stretching it into a little pocket along the side of the sleeve. It doesn't rip, you just have to back the sleeve out a bit and try again. I'm not sure how well it would breathe in hot weather so if you're buying it in a warm climate or during summer, keep an eye on your dog to make sure they don't overheat. The seams of the cuff and "elbow pads" are soft inside so even if they are near an injury or stitches, they shouldn't rub it. The zipper closure is the best thing EVER, but I wish it had a button or something to hold the top together by the dog's neck to make it easier to zip up (you zip it starting from the back end). I'll probably sew a little Velcro strap on myself if it bugs me enough.Follow the size chart and maybe size up if your dog is close to the largest end and this is a great shirt!

My Chihuahua seems to enjoy wearing these shirts. I have one in each color. I use them mainly to prevent him from tearing the skin under his arms because of scratching/licking. (Yes, I have him on medication, but there are still flare-ups.) These shirts have been a God-send!
