I have a 17 lb Westie and she needs her teeth brushed regularly. I bought one of these a couple years ago and would use it occasionally when I wanted to give her a quick clean up between brushings. I just came back to order 6 more because I feel like she needs attention 2 times a day rather than 1 and this cleans a little different than a toothbrush so I figure I can brush her teeth at night like I normally do and then use this in the morning after she eats to freshen her up and hopefully have better results over all. This is so much better than a finger brush because you can feel what you are doing and get to all surfaces if you can get your dog to open it's mouth. I think the key with that is finding a toothpaste your dog likes. My dog likes minty sweet toothpaste and does not care for the chicken flavored ones but all dogs are different.I start with a clean one and first spray it with a little 3% peroxide to moisten. Then I add her toothpaste and rub it around to spread it out. You could also use colloidal silver. I like to use something antibacterial to make sure I'm not introducing any bacteria. Then I go over all her tooth surfaces front, back, top and bottom...Lastly I get the roof of her mouth and her tongue. All in all it does not take long at all compared to brushing and leaves her mouth smelling clean and fresh. We only feed her twice a day so no need food is going in there till dinner and we brush her teeth after dinner.I got 6 more so I would have 7. One for each day of the week. that way I can run them through the washing machine once a week instead of washing by hand and hanging to dry. I will probably wash them alone with a safe mild fragrance free soap. The one I have is 2 years old and while I have not used it daily it still has the grippy surface to scrub her teeth and gums.Great product

This Japanese tooth cleaning glove is great. My dog isn’t trained for tooth brushing but she tolerated me sticking my fingers in there to rub down her teeth. I’m probably going to use it on my cat too.My only qualm is that I wish the finger and thumb tip were a bit more abrasive. It’s a soft nylon and not scratchy at all.It did take a tiny bit of plaque off, but it seems better for long term prevention and applying toothpaste than it does for scrubbing off built up calculus.Still, it was gentile enough for my nervous dog that hasn’t had her teeth brushed before this.

Went in the bin after first use. Did not fit properly, not rough enough and dogs hated it. Don't waste your money.

It does work as it claims. It’s Japanese product so you know it’s some invention. Fit woman hand very well, left or right. The cloth has good texture and quality although and I can wash with warm water squeeze water out and air dry. I use it every other day sometimes with coconut oil alternate with toothbrush. Although for the price I can just use old small towel because you need brush bristles to clean between teeth anyways. What more important is you commit to brush your dog teeth (after flossing your own teeth and young kiddo teeth). No body likes that routine but we love her so much so we (“I”) do it :D

At first I thought what in world did I buy, but after using it on my two senior doxies I only wish I would have purchased years ago. This 3/4 looking eaten glove really cleans the whole tooth and they are more willing to let me gently polish a tooth than trying to pry open a mouth to insert a hard long toothbrush into a small dogs mouth. I already had some enzymatic toothpaste for dogs by Virbac that I bought with a three sided toothbrush).Virbac is awesome, highly rated or was when purchased. It is poultry flavored, had other flavors. So I decided since glove was sorta replacing toothbrush that I would use together and once they figured out that after each couple of teeth polished I allowed them to have a break in which they instantly licked their mouth/teeth and got the reward of chicken, how did Mom do that without food?...Virbac advises you do not allow them to have water for like 20-30 minutes to allow the paste to work it’s encymatic magic, I compare it to a fluoride treatment or cleaning for us. I do this just before bedtime, it relaxes them too and is a chicken treat without eating. I only wished I would’ve started this years back, my two are 17 and 16 so their teeth aren’t the best, but aren’t the worst either, their seniors...Yes you have to wash the glove, I use a little hand soap and hot water and wash in bathroom sink are wring it out, ay on counter or over towel each and by morning it is dry and ready for nighttime. I do this once a week, if they were younger maybe more , but they are retired and living the life, they also have Virbac chews, which really help, yes they are small rawhide pieces, but they clean the bejezous out of their teeth, I have even cut some smaller with a serrated knife and besides what do you think dogs/cats ate before these big pet food/treat companies started up, what we ate. Try this, I think you might be surprised and your dogs teeth and breath better.

I gave up on brush-type implements long ago, as my dogs tend to object to foreign objects in the mouth. They seem much more accepting of my fingers, I suppose because I handle their mouths so often (giving pills, taking away forbidden items, checking for foreign objects, etc.). This particular configuration, with the finger and thumb both covered and the added stability strap, makes cleaning my dog's teeth ergonomic for me and pleasant for him. He not only doesn't object, he sometimes can't be bothered to get up from his snoozing position, and I have to roll him over to get to both sides of his mouth. The texture of the fingertips is just right -- scrubby but not irritating. And it's easy to clean afterward: with the tooth-"brush" still on your hand, rub a dot of castile or other mild, unscented soap between the thumb and fingertip, rinse, and toss on the shelf next to the doggie toothpaste to dry.

Product is as described but it’s quite small and definitely wouldn’t fit a larger hand. I’m a smaller female and can just barely squeeze it on.
