Has no connectors with it so you can't connect to any fiber connections. I also ordered a set of connectors and none fit.

Does the job it's intended for, measures signal level at a bargain price. Once you learn the buttons, gives good accurate readings.Does not have a test signal source (other than the fault locator light), or any sort of diagnostics like distance to break. Still great to have to check for weak signal and identify polarity.

I checked it against my $2500 light tester/wand and it was same readings. (Checking db loss at Ports on 1550)The VFL took me a minute to figure out how to turn on but it's brighter than the one I have been using.I am happy with my purchase

Love the thing, It works great. Not so easy to use because of all the functionality and limited buttons but once you read through the instructions and get used to all the weird button combinations its pretty OK. I used this at the Dayton Hamvention to test 100ft of some armored CAT6 and many random fiber optic cables with great success. I have also used this on the job-site to check fiber optic power levels. I would NOT rely on the accuracy of the power meter feature as it is a Chinese product, however it is certainly good enough to tell you if you have a strong fiber optic signal or not.

Definitivamente lo recomiendo al 100%, me gusto, cumple con todo lo que dice en la publicidad, y lo he estado usando y si me ha servido para mi trabajo. Que sea recargable me agrado al igual el poder checar los cables RJ45, su tamaño esta excelente para el bolsillo y no ocupa mucho espacio.

I've used this to test Fiber optics, Mostly single mode, but some Multimode as well. I've ended up using the RJ45 testing functions more than I thought I would as well. This meter is accurate, and just works. The battery lasts a long time (Weeks) and it's already paid for itself 100 times over. The other guys at work always ask to borrow this meter from me, we have 3 other fiber test kits with other meters and this one is by far the most popular.

I install residential optical network terminals for Ziply Fiber. This thing is very useful. The light meter seems accurate and as fas as I can tell it works fine. The cat5 tester is awesome because I don't have one otherwise and I like how holding this unit feels so having another use is good. Really, it feels good to hold it, it has a nice weight and texture.It has a flashlight on it too, pretty cool to see in the hub with.The black cap on the top that covers the light meter lens is fantastic. Stays on well and is designed properly.I can't imagine using the visual fault detector (laser) on it because I have a laser that I leave on at the house when I go to the hub. I need the light meter at the hub to confirm that my pair has light and isn't damaged.The serial number rubbed off the back and I've only had it for a month or so.This maybe comes off like I'm a shill but I just like my light meter with cat5 tester.
