The product works perfectly and makes it easier to water my greenhouses using the timer. Uses a 12-volt connection which allows me to have a solar system setup to perform this function. Recommend to anyone who needs to set up a timer using a 12-volt system.

I am using this timer for a small 12v water pump to move water from the lake to my tomato boxes that are sitting on the dock. I have a 12v deep cycle battery hooked to a solar panel with a regulator to keep the battery charged all the time. The water pump is hooked to the battery through this timer and it has worked hands off watering the plants for the past month. The timer is great because you can schedule on/off 16x a day (for as little as 1 minute at a time) in any 24 hour period. I have the timer set for 7 day operation so basically every day it comes on @ 11am for 1 minute and then again @ 2pm for 1 minute. One minute of run time is enough to pump plenty of water to our tomato plant garden because I have several hose splitters to run the water in all the boxes at once. Obviously I keep all the electrical components including the timer out of the weather in a homemade wooden sealed box with small openings for the wire leads. I am setting up another pump/timer (same battery power source) for my blueberries right now. Last item of note, I would watch the Youtube video for this timer AFTER you read the instructions. I understood the instructions fine but when you watch the video, it will be crystal clear. Good luck!

Was looking for a 12V timer to control the charging of a power station. Decided on this MISOL one since it seemed pretty solid.Has worked out great. Wiring was very easy, just two in's and two out's, with the positive being switched. Perfect. If you have ever programmed one of these digital timers, you know how most of them work, and this one is no difference, very easy. I like the manual override button. One thing that is rather stupid is the cover. Should be on hinges or something, instead of just snapping into place via friction. I guess not a big deal, I'll just duct-tape it on one side. :PNo long term experience yet, I will update if it fails prematurely. So far so good!

I have been looking for this type of product for a long, long, long time. I struggled to find some DC timer/switch that would perform daily reset of my network router, early in the morning, say, at 4 a.m. by turning off power for a few minutes so I would have no network outages while working remotely during the day. My router is powered by 12VDC UPS so toggling AC power will not reset it. I had a different timer (white, round front) with a tiny, non-replaceable, internal lithium battery. That timer stopped working when the battery went bad. This model has a replaceable battery as I envisioned. It uses a single AA alkaline battery (not included). In addition, timer terminals are intelligently designed. I bought several pairs of inexpensive, 12V, 5.5mm, pigtail cables with male and female barrel connectors. I just inserted bare ends of the two cables into terminals (power and load sides), tighten four screws, and I got a very elegant setup -- no wire splicing was needed. The only minor shortcomings of this product are: documentation, hard to read laser-etched labels, and somewhat dated timer box design. But functionality and clean setup are the most important.

I received the unit and it works ok, after a figured out how to program it. The instructions I received are not at all accurate and i had to persevere with it to get it to program. Once I figured it out, it was pretty simple, but If I had followed the instructions to a tee, I would have sent it back, stating that it wouldn’t program. Just saying.

Works as described. The directions are somewhat simple . But there is a youtube video if your a visual learner . Just type this model number and name in YouTube and a guy gives some brief programming instructions. Also you can take the unit apart by prying it then some small screws once it’s open , then you can remove and disable the LED lights if your off grid and don’t want that extra power consumption from those lights. I took a picture of the supplied instructions as I seen several people didn’t receive any .

The first one lasted 9 months. The second one lasted nearly 2 years! This 3rd one I just received has a new feature the other ones didn't have. There is a symbol that looks like a backward 6, and text above a button that says "press 4 times to unlock". When I unlock it, the 6 turns off and the device seems to work fine. Then in 10-15 seconds it locks itself again. It will not perform it's function at the programmed time when it is locked.....but it always locks itself. There is nothing about this in the "manual". It's useless like this. This review was posted 9/10/2024

I use this to control ventilation fans on an infrequently occupied off grid building. The timer works well, is easy to install, easy to program. Unlike many digital timers, the programming is intuitive, it makes sense the way it's set up, and I didn't need the manual to figure out how to do it.The reason I am taking a star off is because of the LEDs. There are two of them, one POWER one that is on whenever power is applied and one WORK one that is on whenever the output is on.The WORK LED I don't mind so much, because when the output is on, a relay is energized in the unit which consumes power, and whatever you are running with the timer (your load) probably draws enough that the power consumption of an LED is insignificant. What I don't like is the power LED, which consumes power 100% of the time. Now you may say this isn't much, but if you open the timer up and cut out the power LED like I did, you'll find that the idle power consumption (the amount of power the timer draws when the output is not on) drops by almost 90%. That's nearly a 10-fold increase in idle power consumption just to keep that LED on.What's worse is that this is an LED that is completely redundant, because you can tell by looking at the display that the thing has got power. For anyone running this from a power supply being fed from utility power, this is of zero concern. But when you are off grid, every little bit matters. If you are planning to use this off grid, I suggest cracking open the enclosure and cutting out that power LED. It's not hard to do.
