The product itself seems to be well made and fits on the truck. However, it will NOT work on a 3500HD dually configuration because the center opening of wheel is 6 inches and the carrier piece falls through. The carrier part of this item that the wheel rides on is only slightly larger and will not hold the wheel. It needs to be 7 or more inches wide across the flat surfaces where the wheel rests. The original carrier on my truck is missing, so I don't know the exact size it should be. I tried contacting the seller through Amazon, but they have not responded. I did not see another one on the Amazon site that called out a dually configuration. I also broke the plastic retainer for the crank tube on this one, so I am going to have to keep it.

Installation was easy. 09 2500 sierra. The factory guide tube does not fit. So you want be getting that back on without modification. Good price for the quality, easy repair. As a random guy on the internet I highly recommend using this to replace your broken one.

After two Dorman failures (clutch weak/slipping) with no help from Dorman, I bought this one at about half the price. Bolted right in my 2005 2500 and cranked the tire up nice and snug. Not sure what the deal was with the Dorman units. Couldn't return as time had expired prior to my install and Dorman won't respond.Buy this one!!
