I'm sure it's a cash cow for John Deere, but about as irresponsible as it gets. Change 1/3 of your oil each time for the low-low price of $50; crazy. Easy to install and change all 2 quarts of engine oil. I had to buy the oil, but still less than $50. Next change will be even less.

The cost of the ez change system is well over 50 dollars. Making the conversion to a standard filter and drain tube with save money and allow for a complete change of the oil in my John Deere E130. Easy install.

This adaptor to change the John Deere quick replacement filters is fantastic! Not only can you actually change all the oil in your engine, but you can use a generic $8 filter instead of a $50 John Deere filter that does not allow you to drain all the oil in your engine and replace it with new oil. It is a little tricky to install and takes some special tools, so this adaptor is not for a novice.
