This item would not work with my motor. So I am sure if I had the correct motor it would have been fine

Pulled it from the box and on the back written quite large is 10 amps max, not the 15 amps advertised.

Motor Speed Controller AC 120V 15A Variable Adjuster. we use for aggregate dust collection so the vacuum doesn't have to scream at top RPM. nice little speed controller or rheostat for some fans lighting and more.

The heat sink in the unit got really hot and melted through the power cable causing an internal short which burned out the screen and I'm not sure if the unit is still safe to use so I don't anymore. Probably could use a better heat sink and or a small fan to keep it from overheating. Also securing the internal wire so it can't touch the heatsink could help alleviate this issue.

I go to 0% turn it off, turn it back on and it will not show voltage change or start working till 40%. This happens to be okay for my needs but buyer beware
