This gimbal head has changed my sports photography. The Movo GH800 is nearly perfect for what I needed. It has given me more free range of motion while using a monopod, nearly matching the freedom of movement of handheld photography when not using a monopod.Pros:* The motion is very smooth both horizontal and vertical.* The head balances very easily with the correct weight distribution. I also appreciate that it comes with a foot extender for the camera/lens to allow getting the correct placement if the lens/camera built in mounts don't quite line up as needed.* All the screw points to tighten and loosen the head movement are easily accessible and of a large enough size that gripping them is easy and provides enough leverage to get the screw tight.Cons:* The screws allow some level of specific adjustment to get the head to spin freely while also holding firm where desired, but I would have liked them to be a bit more refined so it could allow more precise setting. As is, it works it just could have been a bit more refined.* It is a little heavy, but honestly I prefer that as it makes it feel more secure and able to hold a larger lens and camera. That's a lot of money to trust to the gimbal head.Overall this is a fantastic purchase and I just wish I had made it sooner. 9/10 would recommend.

I decided on this one due to the reviews, since none of the local camera stores had one. It seems to be a good quality head and I can't wait to put it to the test at the wetlands reserves. It is among the lower priced ones, but it seemed to check all of the boxes. My use will be fairly limited, so I didn't want to spend $300-$700 on something I won't be using a great deal. I mounted it on my benro and added my Sony a7c and tamron 150-500mm and was immediately impressed. I have used my Canon 100-400mm with full frame dslr on this tripod with an average ball head with no problem whatsoever, but this allows a weightless freedom of movement I hadn't experienced before. I'd recommend it.

K&F Concept 78” tripodMovo GH 800 MKIINikon 200-500 f5.6I am more than pleased. Just invested in the Nikon long lens, and was kind of thinking that I could hand hold at all times. WRONG. But as a weekend warrior, I can’t really justify the $ for the Wimberley league. Prior to purchasing, my biggest concern was wobble & smoothness of motion. I can happily report that I am pleasantly surprised on both accounts. Zero wobble, and very fluid and consistent motion on both axes. I do agree somewhat with other reviews, that the tension adjustments are a bit abrupt. But I also like the fact that the tension screws only require minor adjustments. Wide open, the motion seems flawless to me, does not spin wildly or out of control, but I can control the camera with one finger. And I really did notice how the horizontal & vertical both respond exactly the same. Very happy with this purchase.

If you have tried to hand-hold a large telephoto lens, you know how difficult that is. I tried using my Arca Swiss ball-head and my Acratech head, but trying to tighten the controls is impossible. So I decided it was time for a gimbal head. I researched several different models and read the reviews, and decided to to the MOVO gimbal head. I am very pleased and would recommend this product. I mounted it over my Acratech leveling base, and quickly had it ready to go. Now I can track anything easily with the lens perfectly balanced.I had read reviews about not being able to tighten the vertical and horizontal controls but I have not experienced any problems. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

This product did not work like I was expecting with an RF 100-500 and Rf 800 lenses, when you rotate the head on the x axis there is a 10 degree whit friction even if the tightening screw is loose. It is not possible to adjust any resistance of rotation for both axis, it is free or lock.

I just received on time and assembled it. It looks sturdy and well made, while light weight.

The first one I received was a heavily used one, despite paying for a brand new product. There were many scuffs and scratches all over the carbon fiber surface. But the product itself was pretty good, both the panning and tilting felt very smooth. So I asked for a replacement. However, the replacement I just got today was very stiff, the pan base was hard to turn, which makes the product barely usable. I don't know whether the second one is defective or their quality control is really bad.

I just received this item and it’s seems to be well made a light for its size. The only con I have is what other reviewers have pointed out. The swing arm is stiff. I’ve sprayed T-9 into the joints and it’s still sticking. I’m wondering if maybe it's suppose to be a little stiff. I wouldn't want the camera swinging too much.
