This cutter is built well, sturdy with amazing cutting ability. I just completed installing an irrigation system for ¾ acres and this cutter performed extremely well. The best function of this tool is the pre puncture point the begins the cut. This is vey important when installing irrigation pipe that is thin wall. I highly recommend this tool for all your PVC installations.

Product doesn’t cut straight. Cutting 1” PVC each cut is on a slant. No straight cuts no matter how hard I try. The product does cut easy, but will not make a straight cut.

Cutting edge rolled over after a few cuts blade doesn’t have a hardened temper. Handle very flimsy not solid construction!! One word would be garbage!!

I won't say it hard to use but it helps getting a job done.... Just be careful when trying to cut because the part that you want cut will fly off somewhere from a distance .

I recently bought a condo and used the Mulwark PVC Pipe Cutter for some DIY plumbing. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and cuts pipes up to 2-1/2” cleanly. The ratchet mechanism works well, and the included Teflon tape and extra blade are a nice bonus. It’s not the fanciest tool, but it’s reliable and perfect for DIYers like me. Great value for the price!

A good quality PVC pipe cutter that can handle standard 2” PVC. Fairly standard ratchet design that makes it easy to make clean cuts. Includes an extra blade which is nice as finding replacement blades for these things can be problematics — seems everyone has a slightly different design on the blades. Not sure why they include some extra teflon tape, a nice sales gimmick I guess, but not super useful as most cut PVC is being glued. The release mechanism on this unit could be a bit smoother, maybe it just needs to be worked a bit to loosen it up. The pricing is a bit on the high end as well.
