This kit is nearly perfect for working on guitars and basses. I have not found a fastener yet that this kit doesn't include the bit for. Add in the extras and the beautiful case and this kit is a real winner.It doesn't cover the hex keys and nut drivers you will need for truss rods. Music Nomad and Stew Mac both have kits for them. I mostly use the hex keys that came with instruments I purchased new.

learning to set up your guitar with music nomad products/videos was so easy and perfect I was so amazed when at the end the guitar was actually set up just perfect and all the measurements were right, like I couldn't believe it and it was all in one afternoon.

I have used this to help with setting up several guitars and it has worked great, The handle is great for tightening tuners. The only problem that I have come across is, I am building a guitar and needed an H5 hex bit, I found only a H3 in its place. Thought it was put in the wrong spot but found the H3 spot occupied with an H3 bit. So I am missing the H5.

I bought this kit for my son to tune and work on his guitars. He was always taking my RC car tool kit and never putting the stuff back. Now he can lose his own tools and find them. LOL

The only problem I have with this kit it that the that the 10 mm end of the nut driver isn't very durable. It could use a steel sleeve in it or something. I've used it a handful of times and it has already become deformed. You have to have it on the nut perfectly or it will slip as the edges aren't really cut sharply enough.There is room for design improvement.

A tad on the expensive side, however, great quality and you will never need another.Has made setups, general maintenance and repair a doddle.Would wholeheartedly recommend to any guitarist, good tools make every job a bit easier.

Before I got this set I had allen wrenches and screw drivers everywhere. This set has everything I need to work on my guitars and basses in one place. The quality is great and I love Music Nomad products in general.

First off, I already have a set of tools for my guitars (12 total. 4 bass, 8 guitars, all variously tuned from Standard to Drop-C). Secondly, I already have several Music Nomad supplies (Spanner wrench, single Octopus tool w/o the bits, Peg Winder, Tune-it, Mat and Cradle set) with more to be added to my maintenance tool kit for my "armory" (I don't consider myself and enthusiast anymore).Not much to say bout it. It came shrink wrapped with a label/sticker describing what it was. Well thought out, and comes with just about every screwdriver bit needed for a self set-up for a guitar (USA or Import). The Octopus replaces the socket set I have, and is soft enough to not scratch up the finishes on any of my guitars. Kinda wish the screwdriver was ratcheting type, but that's a preference and doesn't take away from the quality. The bit holder extension was a nice touch, along the the sturdy case. Hefty, and well built.Well done, MusicNomad.
