Is this cartridge right for everyone? Probably not. $400 for the Nagaoka MP 200 on a Rega P6 turntable is one great combo. It’s been a year and a half and 1000 hrs of listening enjoyment for me. I still get the jaw drop moments in amazement how this cartridge can extract every detail out of the grooves. I started with the MP 110 , another exceptional cartridge and value for the money. I would highly recommend the MP 110 or MP 200 for anyone who wants to hear all vinyl has to offer in sound quality.

I was reading and seeing on YouTube how great this cart was so I bought it. Compared to my AT vm540,it’s different but I wouldn’t say better. I’m using. Pioneer plx1000 tt. To me they are close. For the money I think the AT vm540 is better! I paid 279 for the 540 and 375 for the mp200. Every system is different but I don’t think you can go wrong with either cart.

Definitely the best cartridge I've had on my turntable. Further upgrades probably unnecessary now.

Cartridge did not work once it was installed. I have installed many cartridges, and this one was the by far the worst one ever. I wouldn't suggest buying this one unless you are willing to take a chance on it working for you.

The Nagaoka MP 200 cartridge replaced the Ortofon 2m Blue in my old Dual 701 turntable. The Ortofon cartridge sounds good, but the MP 200 has better high frequency and bass response than the 2M blue cartridge but it is almost double the price. I'm happy that I spent the money on the MP 200

The cartridge took time to install in the arm. The stylus didn't want to go in the cartridge, but finally it went in. The sound is big and clear. I am going to play some music to hear it and see if I like and keep it, or return.

I was using Elys 2 on my Rega Planar 3. Read a lot of good things on blogs and decided to try. The accuracy and the balance is stunning. Elys 2 was way to warm and padded. MP-200 brought forward the mids and tightened up the lows. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for a balance, accuracy and clarity. Also now I can just replace the stylus which is much more convenient on Rega.

Recently I have been buying some ‘audiophile’ pressings and I want to get the most out of them. I broke my Goldring E3 so I bought this and hoped for the best. Fantastic decision- if you are like me and love great midrange, buy this cart. Bass presence… tonality and bass grip is amazing as well. As a side note- this cart will not fix crappy record pressings.
