Over the winter we built a hunting blind which we moved to a remote food plot using a tractor and log sled. During the transport, the blind had to be held tight in position on the sled. Strapping it over the roof was not practical.So we used these 3/8" eyebolts to provide an anchor point two outside walls and bolstered by structural members within the blind.This made it feasible to hook nylon winch straps connected to the sled beams and drawn extremely tight.The straps (orange lines in photos) held the body of the blind in place without shifting on the half mile journey over rough ground, to the food plot. The eyebolts were mounted with an extra nut and washer on the 'eye' end and the 'bolt' end nut drawn very tight. It worked perfectly.The same eyebolts will also be refitted to the outside floor joists; this time to permenently anchor a 3/16" high tension cable - the other end of the cable is attached to 30" ground screws. ~ all to insure against tipping over in a high wind.The eyebolts are strong enough for all this, well made, right-sized, and tight threaded. - A good product. ~ The Duffian

It is nice to go on line, order the size, length and type needed and get the desired quantity. I looked at HD and the L place and Amazon had the goods!

Bought this item expecting the straight part to be 4" long. It's not. The length is apparently measured tip to tip but that's not clearly indicated on the website. These things are barely over a buck so I'll add it to my stash of miscellaneous bolts, etc.Wish they had made the dimensions more clear so I could have purchased the correct size product.

But the label says made in China. I thought I was paying more for a USA made product than what the cheaper Chineseproducts offered. Buy American (unless the supplier lies!)Product is decent quality, I’m just upset that it’s not as represented.
