The expandable clamp is Genius! I have a plastic Costco table that NOTHING even Elgato will fit, these things are wonderful!

A budget-friendly set with some nice extras, like the two ball head mounts that let you angle attached equipment almost any way you want. These stands are made of lightweight metal. That means they're not heavy, but they still don't fall over easily. Even when you extend them all the way or hang something heavy on them, they stand firm. The adjustable clamp that attaches to the desk can fit a wide range of different desk sizes, which is pretty handy.Using these stands has been great because you can easily move your lighting around to get it just right. They're really good for the price, holding up well even when I put heavy stuff on them. But, there's a big problem not with the stands themselves, but with Neewer's after-sales service (which I've had to deal with for other things). Trying to get in contact with them is a huge headache. If you call them, you just get sent to voicemail and nobody calls you back. If you email them or use their contact form, they hardly ever answer. The only luck I've had is with one email address, but even then, they take forever to reply, and your issue can be dragged out for weeks with all the back-and-forth.So, these light stands are a good deal because they do a lot without costing too much. But if you ever need help from Neewer, it'll be tough. They don't seem to want to talk to you once they've got your money. If you're okay with that, these stands could still be a good choice. Just know that getting help if you need it won't be easy.

The Neewer Desk Mount C Clamp Stands turned up today and I'm really happy with them. They are solid build and can be adjusted to any desk thickness. They extend to a good height and will be perfect for mounting my lights on. I don't think I'd run fairly heavy lights as I don't think they would hold the weight. The only other small criticism is that like most Neewer stands the knobs are a little cheap and plasticy...but apart from that they are great.

Changed broadcast setup and wanted to remove the huge space lost to Neewer tripod mount bases. These fit my extra large, nearly 3" thick desk perfectly, but with 32" screens on swivel mounts the lights are not tall enough even when fully extended, which means you'll have shadows on the bottom of your greenscreen. Fortunately I swapped the longer polls from the tripods that came with my Neewer LED light set and problem solved, no more green screen shadows from short height of this set. Typical high quality Neewer build, would be nice if they offered a taller desk mount option so I didn't have to pull my tripods apart.

I needed a simple copy stand arrangement to hold hot lights or flashheads and these work perfectly with the addition of two cold-shoe attachments already on hand.
