Good wax applicator at a good price. There are more expensive options out there, but this is a set of two, in wood, with convenient tassle-grabbers / hangers. You might want to oil (and buff off) the wood, but if not the wax will do the job nonetheless. Recommended.

I got this to wax an old jacket that I have. It was really grimy, and I washed it and of course all the wax wore off. I have the wax but needed something to spread the wax with and this is perfect for that. I tried to spread a little and it went so smoothly I am pleased. I will finish the jacket tonight.I received two tools, and I plan to use the 2nd in my leatherwork. It can see it being used in myriad ways because I am always using wax-based products on my leathers. It will be useful because I can move it across firmly over the leather and it will push out extra product leaving only a small quantity behind, which is what I want. Very pleased with this item.

I have never had this kind of tool to use for this purpose before. I wish the tool was an inch longer but I can make it work. I have a friend who will teach me hoe to use this rather than the wooden spatula I have been using to apply the leather wax. My father was a woodworker and these are almost as smooth as the things he sanded with steel wool. The wood is cut straight of grin and with a very close grain it should be strong and last well. Even not knowing exactly wha tI am doing it feels good in the hand

I found the Smoothing tool's shape to be effective at applying wax to seams in particular. This is because of the beveled edges all the way around the tool.Unfortunately the tool had a small chip on the corner edge of the wider part of the tool, though I can likely sand the chip so that that part of the tool is still usable.I like the feeling of the beech wood in my and, though I do not see the utility of the tassel, and will likely remove this and replace it with a threaded loop so that the tool can be hung on my tool board. I took a star away for that.They do provide a set of two of these tools which is a plus. I also think these might be useful for spreading glue, but I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to mix the use unless I'm sure to clean the tool thoroughly after use.This is a simple, but quite useful item for waxing leather and canvas. I can easily offer a 4-star review.For a 5-star review, I would eliminate the tassel, and add a durable loop so the items can be hung on a tool board. (I would also perhaps wrap in bubble wrap so the edges don't chip in shipping.)

I got these to start waxing my own canvas bags. I haven't used them yet, but after inspection, these paddles are pretty much flawless. Very well made, very smooth, the angles are perfect and nothing is scuffed.I am certain these will work great for my future products.
