I thought I had adequately researched what cable lock would work for my Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series 3501. This lock is smaller than the standard Kensington locks that I have had for many years (for previous laptops). But it is still too large for my new laptop. It looks to be a good product, but unfortunately I have to return it and continue shopping.... At least it is returnable and Amazon makes that process very easy.

The cable serves my modest needs adequately (which is mostly to prevent theft from motel rooms). But matching Noble models to Dell models is sometimes difficult. In my opinion neither Dell nor Amazon do an adequate job of showing the proper matching. Noble finally updated its online matching tool to show the Dell model I bought a year ago.
