This pair of Nut and Bolt Thread Checkers, Standard and Metric, 44 Bolt and Nut Identifier Gauge Wall-Mountable Bolt Size and Thread Gauge with 22 Metric and 22 Standard, Bolt Identifier Board are huge and heavy, but that's not a bad thing. I didn't expect them to be this durable, these things would last a long time even if they were in the nut and bolt isle of your local hardware store. I was going to throw them in a drawer unless I needed to check something, but I'm going to hang them on the wall of my garage workshop.

Now I can go thru those buckets of nuts and bolts and sort them into useable bins.Well made, and sharp looking while hanging on the wall.I like the extended range of sizes these plates offer.

My boyfriend periodically has to estimate the size of a screw, washer, nut, or bolt he needs to replace. He does a lot of guesswork when he heads to the hardware or big box store that usually has a thread checker hanging in the aisle. I ordered this Clonivent 2-in-1 Nut & Bolt Thread Gauge 22 Metric & 22 Standard Sizes to cover all the bases and make his reparations easier. He's built up a good supply of hardware over the years, and he just might already have the size he needs.When I pulled these 2 aluminum alloy panels out of the heavy box, I knew he would get a kick out of the outstanding quality. When he held one, he commented, “Nice chunk of aluminum.” One weighs a respectable 2 lb., 8.6 oz. The thickness of the aluminum is about 5-6mm. The nonskid adjustable feet keep it steady on a flat surface, or you can hang it from the 2 holes at the top to quickly and easily take a measurement. The side rulers are also handy.There are a lot of thread checkers available with only 14 metric and 14 standard measurements on 1 panel. Having 2 different panels with additional measurements is more thorough. The white laser-etched increments are easily seen on both the red and blue panels.Regarding the $69.99 price, I always compare other similar products also available on Amazon. Amazingly, the exact same Clonivent brand is available for $79.99 with a 20% off coupon; it just has a different ASIN number. If you do the math, that particular item will cost $5.00 less. It pays to thoroughly research the items you consider ordering to find the best deal.
