I ordered this because it is very similar to the tamiya saw yet lower prices and spare blades are available plus OLFA makes the tamiya saw. When I received this saw I was blown away by the quality, far and away better quality than the typical us offerings. I decided then and there that this brand is my new go to. So I ordered 2 of their 157B knife sets.

Perfect for making small straight cuts, and marking dovetails. You can get right down into the kerf. This was a great find.

If you're using this correctly, and on the correct materials, it works very smoothly. The handle has a nice weight to it, so you barely have to apply pressure when cutting. My only small complaint, I wish it came with more spare blades. I might be a little bias, because I've already found the Olfa brand to be reliable.

The grip is nice, size is perfect. I did however find one of the blades a bit too wiggly for my own purposes. I suspect there’s a reason for the design, I just don’t know what that is! I do however think it’s a quality product

Good saw for sure. I guess you have to make a compromise between the amount of plastic you're cutting out and the thickness of the blade. Blade does bend a bit but it feels durable. Good tool to add to my modeler stuff.

This works great for marking pin board with a Shawn shim. It's a little thinner kerf but, works perfectly. Comes with 2 different blades. Since you can't even get his dovetail marking knife currently, only replacement blades for $40, just go with this. Now I just need to get better at chiseling and my tails will be perfect.

I have a number of Japanese tools from when I lived there, so I know they tend to be of high quality. This seems like a good hobby saw. I bought it for marking dovetail cuts using Rob Cosman's method and I think this will do perfectly. It is a thin kerf but will remove enough material to make a good shoulder for a cut with a heavier saw. The size and weight make it easy to control with accuracy. The handle is plastic, which means it will last until the end of civilization as we know it and be discovered by whatever comes after, or it will break by Monday. I have high hopes, but would have preferred metal or even wood. I may end up making a hardwood handle for it anyway.

I really like this tool. It's easy to use, surprisingly sturdy, and more comfortable than expected. I used it to cut some holes in some bird and decorative houses. Worked great on 1/4" plywood and also on a resin house. The blades stayed nice and sharp too. Took a chance on this tool, and I feel like I really came out ahead.

This is a perfect miniature saw to use for dovetails, especially for RobCosman's trick using a small blade the same thickness as your dovetail saw to transfer the tails on the pin board. The blade thickness is approximately 0,3mm which is exactly the same thickness of a Dozuki dovetail saw (of any brand).
