DIY Steps
- Step 1: Use the small spoon to pour sand through the hole into the glass
- Step 2: Stop when the sand fills half of the glass. (Remember not too much or too little, otherwise it will affect the final use effect). Pat the glass with your hand to firm up the sand.
- Step 3: Pour the liquid into the glass. Fill the glass with liquid and let sit for a few minutes to allow the sand and glass to blend. (If the supplied liquid is not enough, you can add tap water until it is full)
- Step 4: Clean the exits. Note: The liquid should not exceed both ends of the outlet gap to prevent leakage.
- Step 5: Seal it. Open the glass glue and squeeze out the glass glue at the gap.
- Step 6: Put on finger covers and fill the whole gap evenly with glass glue. Remove excess spilled glue. Seal well and let sit for ten minutes. Prevent leakage due to loose seal.
Let the glue dry for 30 minutes. Start enjoying the beautiful quicksand painting night light.

The instructions for this item are extremely vague and confusing. Just terrible!!! My two grandsons referred to it as super stressful for them. They were unable to complete either item.

My grandson was so excited to get this. We set it all out on the table, pulled up the video on how to put it all together. We put it together. And it leaked every where. We sealed the top, and let it sit for hours. When we picked it up, it was leaking out of the right side and the bottom. Returned :(

This is a fun project to do with older children or as adult, but it's not something you want to be rushed on doing at all. This kit has everything needed to create a really cool looking sand art project that lights up too. Make sure you take your time and pour the water and other solutions slowly to prevent bubbles from forming inside. Nice size to display in a bedroom when it's all finished too. The instructions are helpful and this was very interesting to create with my 10 year old nephew. He likes the blue color sand that was included, other colors would be nice too. I had seen these finished before, but didn't know they were something that we could make together. Highly recommend it if you have the time to complete it and follow the instructions carefully. Looks great and it works just like the ready made version.

I was surprised that this kit didn't really FEEL like it was designed to be DIY, but it was. I was able to make my sand art, it looks neat! But also I have tons of left over materials, so I don't know what to do with them - throw them away?

This is a complete DIY, every single part. I found it annoying and challenging as it felt overly complicated. The pieces feel cheap, the materials feel like there isn't enough, I'm not a fan and would not do this again.
