PTFE (Hydrophobic) Syringe Filters, Non-Sterile
OMICRON PTFE Syringe Filters are available with hydrophobic PTFE membrane and come in 0.2µm & 0.45µm filtration rating which removes microorganisms, particles, precipitates and un-dissolved solid particles/high particulate solution from non-aqueous or difficult to filter solutions.
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
These are single use products which consist of a hydrophobic PTFE membrane filter sealed in PP (Polypropylene) housing. They have wide chemical compatibility and chemically inert which makes them better for filtering more aggressive solutions. For filtering aqueous solutions, PTFE requires pre-wet with alcohol to establish flow with reasonable pressure differentials.
