I find Omnigrid's ruler markings easier to read. And this ruler has a lot of markings. It could be confusing, but there are different colors of markings and breaks in the lines, especially at the corner intersections, that make it easier to read than other brands I've had.And the diagonal line makes it super easy to line of squares made of two half-square triangles because it lies right on the line of separation. It's easy to find the center, and the hanger hole is in the line and gives me a good window for peeping at the fabric joint without the ruler in the way.

It makes the perfect square, and with the markings helps you to have the right size in inches. It is made of heavy plastic, and when held tight you can use a rotary cutter it's easy to cut.

This is very helpful for squaring up half square triangles made from 5" charm packs. But...it does tend to slip, so be careful. I put grippers on the bottom which helped but I still have to use a firm grip.

Omnigrip do tend to slip a little. This size is easy to manage. I used it to cut my half square triangle squares to exact size having made them slightly larger. I find this gives me really accurate pieces which go together perfectly.
