This bracket was exactly like ones on swing arm lamps I've had before, but the more economy models, so more lightweight than the lamp I needed a mounting clamp for this time. The bracket has no pads to add more grip and to protect any surface you clamp it onto. AND the holes are too small for my lamp's post, unfortunately. And given the heftiness of this lamp I have I had doubts the clamp would hold; I do not intend to screw it down to any surface, and the clamp being plastic wondered if it wouldn't break quickly from the weight and moving the lamp to various positions. It's OK for lightweight lamps with less than half-inch posts.

Looks exactly like the original clamp that came with the arm lamp so I expect it to last for a long time. Would recommend.

Slightly undersized for my Ikea Tertial lamp. Enlarged hole with a 1/2" (13mm) drill bit. Perfect fit.

I ordered this product on December 12th. It arrived December 14th. I put it on the table that I have all of my plans on to overwinter and put my lamp in it. Today is January 15th. It's broken, and I cannot return it because we are beyond 30 days. 🤦🏼♀️ If your table lamp is not a super cheap thin sheet metal lamp, I would not trust this to hold it. The bar that goes under the table is not long enough to keep it balanced, there are no pads or non-slip grips on either piece, the bar that goes inside this plastic piece to clamp it on the top is too short, and it constantly threatens to tip over and fall off. I tried this on different tables, I tried it at different angles, it's just garbage. I know they were only six bucks, but it should have worked for more than 30 days.

Se me rompió la pieza que sujeta la lampara. No sabia que se podia comprar esta pieza de recanvio. me gusta mi lámpara. no quería cambiarla. Aconsejo que guardeis la pieza antigua rota, por si acaso. yo tuve que cambiar la parte que sujeta por debajo el pié. La tengo en una mesa de joyero, y donde iba anclada la mordaza, no hay tanto espacio. Por lo demàs, espero que dure lo mismo o más de lo que ha durado la antigua, 29 años.

I got this item because I was looking for a replacement microphone boom stand holder that would clamp to my desk and have a wider base than most of the clamps I see. This clamp for one isn't made of "aluminium alloy" like advertised, but instead plastic - maybe the threaded rod part is aluminium, but that's the case for every clamp. Secondly the hole in the top was slightly too small (like within 1-2mm) for the pin of my standard microphone boom arm - so I had to drill it out a bit. Even so the boom arm doesn't sit as deep as it would ideally. I ended up screwing the mount to a piece of wood before clamping it to my desk for stability, mostly to avoid damaging the desk, which seems to work okay for now. I'll be interested to see how long it lasts before it develops stress cracks.

I actually bought this just for the L bolt and the nut as I am making a new product.But regardless it is exactly as described. The nut and threads fits nicely.And for my special needs it all comes apart easily so I can re-purpose the parts.

Four stars as the plastic portion is quite rough, and it (the plastic part) does not look durable. I've seen better designs included with various desk lamps.
