Quality instrument with nice oak wood finish. However, it was packaged poorly for the journey it had to make here to the US. Box was crushed and surprised the case wasn't broken or wood cracked. Durability or longevity is to be determined as there are plastic gears. Nice loud beat.

Wittner have been making mechanical metronomes since the end of the nineteenth century. This is a precision instrument that will last a lifetime and a stylish addition to any music room. It’s a world away from the electronic digital varieties, which of course have their place, but which cannot match the style and appeal of this beautiful machine. The metronome is loud enough to be of use to ensembles and the visual movement of the pendulum can also be a helpful aid to keeping time. Wonderful!

Disappointed with this metronome. For the price, I was expecting more. The wood is very thin and the back is made of plastic. It is very light, too and has no substance. It is so cheaply made that I don't know how the company can charge the prices they do. I'm glad I didn't buy an even more expensive one as I would have been doubly disappointed. The mechanism is fine and does the job and that's why I'm keeping it, but aesthetically it's poor. Message to WITTNER in Germany - buck up your ideas and your products!

Perfect birthday present for my husband. Have been wanting to get him a metronome for years. All the traditional styles are dark wood (walnut, oak....) but I live this- a modern twist on traditional style. He loves it too! Sounds fab!

Métronome très joli. Belle finition en bois pour s'accorder avec mon piano. Fonctionnalités métronome OK. le son ne fait pas trop plastiquemais il faut admettre que c'est relativement cher
