love these for putting in dehydrated meal and snack packs. Just be sure to store them in a sealed bag, if left out, they will absorb oxygen from the air, and heat up!

Works great but when buying a large stock you really need to seal away what you aren't going to use right away. At this time I have no problem at all with this product. When I open what I have sealed in the future I will have to update this. The product is at the seller said it is and works wonderful so far.I have had no problems at all.I have re-bought this because it work so great for me.

They are exactly what they advertise. I dont have a vacuum sealer so I use these. Just one in to the bag and squeeze out as much air as you can when sealing the bag. After some time the oxygen in the bag gets adsorbed by the pouch creating your vacuum. I also use this for the mason jar meals for long term storage. Works great.

Arrived vacuum sealed, obviously fresh and ready to use, but with no instructions. Read all of the reviews because this is a high quality product that needs to be stored in a vacuum or oxygen free container to retain its utility. We set up all of our food (grains, cereals, oats, rice, and dried beans) to be stored in sterile containers (freshly washed glass canning jars heated in the oven) and only then did we open the vacuum packed absorbers. Immediately after putting the absorbers into each storage container, we then put the remaining packets into a separate container and pulled a vacuum on that container with our foodsaver device. The packets absorb oxygen, therefore, you must protect the unused packets from oxygen for them to retain their ability to absorb oxygen. The name of the product would suggest that no instructions are be needed.

These are a must for long term food storage if you are prepping. Rule of thumb is 3-600cc per gallon so be sure to buy extras. Also, once you cut these open, be preped to use ALL of them in your session. Once you open the bag, air contacts them and starts the process of absorbing oxygen. They get very hot so, I suggest setting up enough bags and then, get to the job at hand. You may be forced to takes breaks to allow your sealer to cool but that aside.....make a best effort to seal them in product as quickly as possible! Recommend!

I thought I had ordered the 2"x2" absorbers, and I received the 1x1's. Most likely my fault, but I'll use these and double check on my next order. These work very well, just like them a bit bigger.

This was my first purchase of oxygen absorber and unfortunately I didn't educate myself enough prior to purchasing. I wish they would've provided some guide for how many are needed for certain volume containers. In addition, I wish they were individually sealed. As they come, once you open the bag they ALL begin to absorb oxygen. You can re-seal the bag or place them in a Ziploc buy their productivity is greatly reduced every time you do that. My future purchases will be in smaller quantities with larger capacity absorbers.

My order arrived quickly and was properly sealed. I immediately broke them down into packages of 10 and vacuum packed each bundle. I put all 10 sealed bags into a larger vacuum sealed bag with the test button inside. That way, I can take out small portions without spoiling the bulk of my supply and the storage bag can be resealed. The 100ct bag is a good value, but next time, I'll probably get the 50ct bag. I'm not sure I'll be able to use these in a timely manner. My primary use is for dry sealing medium sized Mason jars with dehydrated foods. This oxygen absorber will make the lid seal ping! They work great for jars that are opened, but still need to be stored for weeks. They do make a difference in freshness. I also put them into plastic and mylar vacuum bags for long term storage.
