It is very comfortable to wear and it is a good size for a toy dog, small cats or for youbg puppies. My cats didn't like it but I think it's because they are not used to it. But it worked great for my young puppy fosters who can't touch the ground for health reasons.I use it as my pet carrier for them, making it easier to transport to vetting, while in the car and then by foot.

It’s easy to use. But I wish the strap was a little longer. Strong stitching. Has held my cat pretty well.

It was made well. But if you are a tall person. It sits right under your arm pit. The shoulder strap needs to be a foot or 2 longer.

I got this as a carrier/cave for my kittens, and while it did take them a while to trust it enough to try it, now that they do, it's clear they really like it.It gives them a warm, soft, cradle like area to relax and stay close as I move about the house, or even just watching TV together. The other advantage to the material is it was easy to launder. Snapping the buttons closed is not loud, so it doesn't scare or otherwise turn them off, especially now that they're more used to it.

I have had slings like this before and loved them. As the owner of a few small dogs. You have to have one of these. But what I have never seen before is the pocket. Always thought these needed a pocket for a phone or wallet. It’s silly but I’m really excited about that. Also like the addition of the snaps to keep your precious fur baby inside but they can still easily pop their heads out and peek about. Although mine usually crawl inside and go to sleep. .

I too have an older cat that loves to sit on my lap and snooze while I work at home. He typically puts his head on my left wrist, leaving my right hand free to use the mouse while I type. This usually works pretty well, until I have to get up, and then the complaining that ensues! I was hoping this would let me be able to get up and around and do things a little better without disturbing Mr. Cat. It is not something I can at this point get him to get into willingly on the floor. I can basically wait until he is on my lap and then work it underneath and around him, and he tolerated that most of the time I have tried it. I would also call for an adjustable strap though, because it does make me have to lean forward a little bit at times and that is not as comfortable as I would like. It does give him a good place to rest his chin instead of my wrist, so that helps too. I think it is going to take more practice to see if it is something I use on a regular basis, but it is nice to have.

I have a Holland Lop rabbit, Gizmo, who weighs a little under 4 pounds. He is very sweet and wants to be held and petted all the time. All. The. Time. This is great except when I have things to do around the house, where I need two hands. Also to take him to visit our neighbors who dote on him, or another little trip outside. That is where the Barks & Mulligans Pet Carrier for small dogs and cats sling come in. I put him in a harness I already had for him, place a towel in the bottom of the sling, and clip the harness with bunny in. Then snap the two snaps on top of it and he's good. It took him a little while to adjust: the towel helped with that. Now he really likes it and I think he feels like it snuggles him. Plus I now have my two hands free more of the time and Gizmo is thrilled to be held. Win/win!The sling fits me fine 5'6"; 130lbs, but is a little small for my 6' husband to use. He'll put the bunny in it and sit the sling on his lap. This keeps him from falling off his lap and frees his hands for using the computer. There is a little pocket on the sling which is helpful. It is easy to keep clean, and made of soft material. It appears to be well made. Though the main handle is not adjustable, it is wide enough to distribute his weight. The clip that goes on the harness is attached by a cloth loop that is adjustable in length and able to travel the entire strap. Also nice is that this sling is reversible for two different looks and textures. It does everything it is supposed to do for bunny, hubby, and me: well made, cute, and practical. In this family it's four hands and two front paws raised in approval!
