This is a nice option for hands-free walking or running with your dog. I have a high energy 35lb spaniel, and sometimes I like to have my hands free when walking with her. I ordered this thinking it would be perfect, and indeed it does the job well. I appreciate the wider strap at the back, as well as the dual D-rings to clip the leash to instead of just having one. The two traffic handles are nice, and the bungie portion of the leash is REALLY stretchy. It's perfect to keep from being yanked around by your dog if they change direction suddenly. This item lost a star for 2 reasons. First, the wider part of the strap that goes around your waist really needs to be slightly thicker or more padded. After a while, I definitely felt the strap digging into my back, and it wasn't too tightly cinched. Just the pressure from my dog. Second, they don't remove the plastic bits that they layer over their rubber logo, and cleaning all of that plastic off and out of the stitching took a solid 20 mins. It was annoying!Overall, this is a solid choice for a hands free leash.

Great for running with my pup. Hooks to him easily and secures nicely around my waist

The belt part of this is much nicer than the other running belts for leashes that I have as this is wider and padded. If your dog pulls, that makes this very nice. I also like that there are different leash attachment points, one at the side and one in the front. One of my dogs tends to run right in front of me, so having that centered one is nice for her, while my male dog runs at my side, so depending on which dog I have, I can hook him or her appropriately. For my younger dog, the bungee is really nice, as she is still learning leash manners and sometimes gets excited; the bungee helps absorb the pressure when she pulls. For my border collie mix, the leash part just doesn't work - he runs right at my side and this leash is a little too long, so that it nearly touches the ground and creates a trip hazard for us both. If the leash was about 6 to 8 inches shorter, I think I would say this combo is perfect.

Great hands-free leash!I like the strap that goes around your back/hips, it’s very comfortable. I do wish the pad was a little bit longer, because it doesn’t quite cover your lower back if it gets pulled to one side or the other. I also wish the least was a bit longer; I have to walk with my dog to wherever he wants to smell because of how short it is. I have a regular 6ft leather leash and the length difference is noticeable.

Love this leash and belt combo. It works amazing for my 90lb German shepherds, keeping my hands free and pup in place. I love how it auto adjusts to wherever my dog decides to walk. The elasticity in the lead is great for keeping your dog secure while not yanking on you or there harness like a traditional leash does while your pup is jolting around. Not sure how long it will last but it seems to be built out of a nice thick material.

I have a puppy that is close to 50 lbs and he's very strong and very energetic and I need the weight of my body sometimes in addition to my arm strength to be more secure with holding him. At least that's what I think. So, I like the waist band leashes. This is a nice quality leash, nice material, good stitching, good elastic in the stretchy parts, comfortable cushion in the hand openings. I like the placement of one hand hold near the dog and one higher up. The waist band is very comfortable and I like how the leash is separate from the waistband in case you need to release the dog off you but want to leave the waistband on for some reason (yes, this situation comes up!) I'm trying to keep in mind that this is designed to be specifically a leash for wearing your dog on your waist; I want to criticize it and say that it should include a piece that you can attach that has a wrist strap that you could change it into a standard leash if needed, but if you are using this exclusively for the purpose of 'hands free' or sports, then that does not matter so I shouldn't criticize it for not being all things. Still, it would be a super nice addition. I may try to come up with a solution, but in the meantime, I do like this leash!

After stretching them quite a bit and putting it through a quick jog with my husky, I'm quite a fan of this idea. Generally in the past I would run while holding a retractable leash to keep the cable from tangling but this doesn't have that issue. There's little to no wear and tear on it and I don't see any issues with it's stitching. It's also easy to adjust and use. The sizing is just right for me to keep a good jogging pace without running into my pup, while still keeping it from tangling.Overall for the price and quality, if this one breaks in a few years I'll buy another. I doubt I'll need to buy another for that reason though, at most probably just for cosmetics I would replace it.

We've been trying out the PetAmi Hands Free Dog Leash for 2 weeks with our Australian Shepard - Poodle mix. Sydney weighs approx. 55 lbs and is a very energetic one year old so keeping her in stride and safe on a leash is sometimes a challenge. So far, this hands free leash has been working well. The bungee component is tough and seems durable. It really does minimize some of the abrupt hanging that happens when an evil squirrel runs across the trail.Another nice feature is the two hand loops that allow more control of the dog when needed. The waist belt is easy to adjust. As we often walk Sydney during early morning and late evening, the reflective elements are a great safety touch. We'll update this review after a few months of usage if anything changes in the quality of this stretch leash. For now 5 stars!_____Disclosure: I obtained this product through the Amazon Vine program. As a user of the product, I have done my best to provide an honest review.
