High quality. Can't complain. I wish the price was a bit better. But then again. They are the highest quality you can get. Especially if you get a file brush and you clean them they last forever.

I usually buy the triangle (er... more accurately "hexagonal") files by the dozen and they end up being somewhere around 14 bucks each. Somebody on here is selling them for forty bucks each which IMO is highway robbery... (shrug) but I suppose if there is no alternative... its worth it. But compared to 14 bucks a file... let's just say I'm pretty happy to get them for that price. The other file you can use is the vallorbe flat double bevel file part number LC2270--those are the flat files listed here by this seller and I like those too. If you buy them by the dozen even though they're more expensive they're still a good price and worth the money. Either file will do the job--its kind of personal preference on which one you like using better. Some folks say they can clear the gullet out with the double bevel flat file... some guys find it easier with the double bevel flat file to get the angle right on the little ridge under the top of the cutter that ejects the wood chip... but its all personal preference.Folks who square file know all this already--I'm just writing this review because i had a *really* hard time finding them on amazon even though a few sellers have them listed. If you haven't cut with a nice sharp square chisel cut chain I highly recommend it. You'll see wood chips flying like never before and the cutting speed is like nothing else.Sure learning to sharpen square chisel cut by hand--like any skill--takes some time to learn. But if you don't feel like going to the trouble I'd recommend that at least once in your life find someone who does it professionally and have them square file one of your chains--most of the guys that sharpen chains for a living use a grinding wheel and a jig and just cut them *perfect* and unless you happen to have access to race chain you'll never find a faster cutting chain.Of course I'm leaving out a bunch of details like cutting the gullet down etc but this isn't supposed to be a square chisel tutorial--I'm just hoping the amazon search algorythm will make it so guys looking for square chisel files can find them easier on amazon.Have fun and be safe fellow woodcutters...
