After 3 years of use, my carafe was not working well and was struggling to produce enough hot milk/water. I didn't realize how much it was failing until I bought this replacement and finally saw the way it used to work!! Yay! Wish I had purchased a replacement sooner!

I held off because paying $100 cdn for a plastic part makes my soul cry - but when the original no longer worked, I had no choice. This fits, and works like the day I got the machine. Maybe this one will last longer?

Parfait pour la machine à café Philips 5400.Pièce d'origine. Produit cher mais très pratique d'en avoir un deuxième, si vous aimez avoir du lait moussé et si vous avez peur d'en casser un.Le produit pourrait être amélioré en étant gradué d'une façon plus lisible.Produit arrivé avant le temps prévu.

Perfect fit, I actually prefer this one over OEM since this one does not have that silver trimming where milk usually gets stuck and its a little annoying to scrub it on a daily basis.

Milk steams much too quickly. With the same steam time as the original, about 50% more milk is steamed and the temperature is lukewarm at best. This seems to be an issue with the outer piece as using the new carafe with the original outer piece give a result much like we were getting before.

Delivery was quick, and fitted my machine even though it was made for Ep5447. Bought as a second container for ease as other family members only have almond milk with their coffee.
