Somehow this popped up when I was shopping for a Cygolite mount. Doesn't work

I use Serfas Thunderbolt 2.0 safety lights. They're set to do the random flash thing and they work very well. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the rack mount they have/had so I thought this would work. It appears to be of the same design in the light mounting mechnism but, it has one problem. The width of the channels where the tabs on the lights slide into the mount is too wide to retain the Serfas lights. That makes it of no use to me.Otherwise, the mount is made of a thick plastic that attaches directly to your rack and provides a neat place to securely mount your light. If it isn't a Serfas Thunderbolt 2.0. It's sturdy, all the hardware is provided and fits well. Properly mounted you should never have any concern about it falling off.If you own lights with thick mounting tabs this might work for you. Because it's not quite what I need, that's the reason for the 4 stars.

Piece is plastic but should be fine. Mounts well to the rear of my Trek 520 bike rack. I could also mount it to the back of a Topeak bike rack. Doesn't allow for universal use with other lights that have slide in mounts. I purchased a rear bike light from the same company expecting a nice tight, secure fit. Not the case. Light seems like it would rattle/bounce out of the holder. Currently helping to secure it with some silicon loops used for past bike lights. If the slot for the light was a better fit or had a latching mechanism I would give 5 stars. It will work for now. I attached it to my rack using the provided screws, washers, and some wing nuts I had on hand.

Unless you have a Planet Bike bike light, don't get this.I bought this assuming most bike light mounts that have a clip on the back were standardized. Apparently that is not the case. I have a Cyclops bike light that is VERY bright and wanted to mount it to the back of my Topeak Tourist DX rear bike rack. This mount has the correct bolt hole spacing to make that work while still being able to access the MTX track system. The issue is that the Cyclops clip is too narrow by about 1/8" to be able to properly clip into this Planet Bike clip. Only $10 so not a huge deal, but It'd be nice if things were a little more universal. Now I'll need to buy a planet bike light in order to use this or rig up a system to get the light to mount. Not ideal.

I lost my prized Planet BIke Turbo light. Like many other riders it was hung from the loop on the back of my Topeak bike bag (no other spot to mount it on my aero bike frame). It fell off a couple of times before but this time I did not notice. Hopefully if somebody finds my lost light intact they will benefit (you know how bright this light is).So I bought another Planet Turbo light and this bracket. Whilst intended for a rack, I mounted this to my Topeak bike bag. I drilled two holes through the back flap. To hold the nuts and washers inside the bag I fabricated a backing plate from a broken Hefty storage tote. Does not look dorky, fits snug and locks the light firmly in place. Ride on!

Don't fit my bike lights. Other than that it should function for something else down the road.

Got a light similar to a couple $15-$20 (and I think ther eis a $10 china version same as I got direct from china) and this mount I was PRAYING was going to fit. not only does it "work" its made for my light basically. Very happy, have a proper, bright tailight on my commuter now thnx to this adapter.Add to that, I think they should have used nylock nuts instead of lock washers (going to buy some but for now lock washers are doing just fine) but mount is good quality, very solid. Not cheap junk thats for sure!!!

I use this to mount my Serfas USL-TL60 The Shield USB tail light. I filed the screw mount nub on the tail light at a slight angle leaving in the top side of the nub a bit higher and slipped the tail light into the bracket. The high point on the nub clicks into the bolt head recess permanently locking the tail light in place. It works like a top. I have a USB charger and a eight foot Mediabridge USB 2.0 - Mini-USB to USB Cable (8 Feet) - High-Speed A Male to Mini B with Gold-Plated Connectors and I charge the unit with it mounted on the bicycle. The unit comes with a 2 foot or so charging cable which is fine if you remove the light from the bicycle when charging it. I ride in the city and I didn't want a removable i.e. easily stolen tail light. I'm providing this information because I couldn't any information as to whether this bracket could be successfully used with the Serfas tail light. The answer is yes it can.

Sturdy, easy to attach, works exactly as advertised and holds the Planet Bike Taillight securely to the rear rack on 2 of our bikes. Works best when the bracket can be mounted to the extreme end of the rack or by re-tasking the rear reflector bracket/arm as a mounting point. On one bike, we have a welded steel one-piece rack/basket that has a projection over the mounting point (similar to ). This condition required that I remove the face of the light (as if to replace the batteries), mount the back portion of the light to the bracket, and then re-install the front portion of the light. This is a slight hassle, but once the light is mounted we just leave it in place unless we feel the need to remove it when locking the bike in public.
